   I stand there horrified and unable to move a single bit. It was vivid but i can clearly remembered what just happened and figure what's about to happen. I froze and hold my breaths, i was too shock to even spat out a low and soft 'help'. Cannot believe what my eyes just witnessed, my legs betrayed me when they collapsed making me breakdown into tears. There's no sobbing or whining sounds could be heard, only my tears can be seen.

He's dead, my only best friend since i was a latter is dead. He lay disfigured and faced down in a dark red pool, scratches all over his face. My best friend was lying on the floor, completely motionless... dead.

He faced such a gruesome death  even though he's one of the kindest and nicest person i ever know in my life. I was just about to start sobbing when i heard footsteps coming towards me. It was a faint sound yet it felt closed.

It was getting closer. Didn't wait any seconds,my legs sprung into action rapidly and I bolted out of the room. Darkness seemed to act like a blanket around me so I couldn't see where I was running; I just knew I had to get away. The hallways seems to be much more bigger and further as if i can get myself lost.

How? How can this mansion turned into something like this? There's blood and corpse everywhere, my nostrils were already used to the stench that's almost like a physical force, thick and horrid, lingering in the air.

I had already forgotten about it; my attention was now focused on escaping this mansion, escaping from it. I was running but I knew I was far from escape. It will find me... somehow. And i seems to be trapped here for hours now, i can't find the exit neither can i find anyone who's still alive or at least breathing. It felt like those horror films I had once enjoyed except there was no projector and no film. It was real... THIS was real and there was no getting away.

If only we didn't go here. If only we listened to him, this wouldn't have had happened. I regrets every single bits of it.

As i can't run any further, i stopped in a spacious room that seems to be the kitchen and hide beside the kitchen counter. My breath plumed out in front of me, like an old machine spewing smoke but it was only my hard breathing reacting with the cold air.

I sat there hugging my knees and covering my mouth hoping that it didn't realise i was there. I can barely breathe, as my breaths were stuck in my throat.

I could hear faint footsteps coming towards the kitchen and i desperately holding my breaths afraid that it will make any noise. The footsteps weren't as faint as before and i could hear it get louder second by second. Surprisingly it faded away.

I bring myself to check; if it's still there. Just when i thought it was gone, I could feel a strong presence right behind me.

" You can run.. but you can't hide.. " the voice speaks right into my ears and i could feel the cold breaths sending chills and shivers down my spined and i unexpectedly do the unexpected by slowly turning around.. facing the cold blooded murder. When my eyes land on it, i was beyond horrified. Time seemed to stand still as I tried to make sense of the horrifying scene which lay before me. It was as if my whole world had been turned upside down.

" it was you! " i was burning in anger and rage totally forgotten my situation. " yes, it was me " i can't bring myself to response or even move, when i came back to my senses; his hands were already placed around my neck, holding it tight.

" and now, it's your turn "

I tried to fight back with my left strength, but it was no use. As if he's becoming much more stronger in every moves he made.

" w-why... " my lungs were burning for the lack of oxygen i barely could breathe in. My vision start to become blurry and faded. I felt my both hands already lost its strength as it dropped down to my side. And all i could felt left was myself, embracing the darkness.

" because, that's the rules. "
