When Jeongin awoke, he was in the infirmary. He had seen this place before, the white walls and clean interior having been one of the first things he saw when he was dropped off. Sitting up, he saw a few other people lying beside him in nearby beds, one of them looking strangely familiar. Upon closer inspection, Jeongin realized with a jolt that it was Changbin.

Changbin had wires sticking out of his cut arms, and a feeding tube was inserted into his torso. The monitor beside him was beeping steadily, but Changbin looked to be in deep sleep. Jeongin read the papers beside Changbin's bed.

A coma?

Jeongin was relieved to know that Changbin wasn't dead, but he still felt uneasy about him being in a comatose state. Since he was focused on reading the slips of paper, he never heard the door to the infirmary open behind him, let alone the boys that piled in afterward.

It wasn't until he was knocked to the ground that Jeongin realized there were other people in the room. Looking up, he saw Jisung on top of him and the others surrounding them. When Jeongin began to wheeze from the lack of oxygen, Chan and Woojin pulled Jisung off of him, setting him on the tiled floor and helping Jeongin up.

The eight boys looked solemnly to Changbin, Minho, Jisung, and Hyunjin bursting into tears. Jeongin suddenly felt out of place. As much as he wanted to cry, he felt as if he wasn't allowed to. He hadn't known Changbin very long, so he didn't know how to react. Was this a normal occurrence? Or was this the first time this had happened? Jeongin didn't know.

Jeongin hadn't realized he was crying until he felt hands wipe moisture from his cheeks. Looking up, he saw Chan, smiling sadly as tears fell from his own eyes. Jeongin had never been able to watch other people cry, so seeing someone who had been so kind to him cry sent him over the edge. Jeongin's face scrunched up as a sob hiccupped out of him. He pulled himself closer to Chan, wrapping his arms around Chan's broad torso. Chan sniffed loudly as he pulled Jeongin even closer, the other six quickly joining them and forming a group hug. Jeongin had never felt closer to a group of people he barely knew, but even he knew that their group hug wouldn't feel complete without their comatose-stricken friend.
