Chapter 3

I ran toward the car. There was literally nobody there near the car. I was getting super scared. I ran toward the window and Nadiah was nowhere to be found.

This freaked me out. I just couldn't believe this was happening. I checked again and again to see if this was her car but unfortunately it is.

I tried calling her but she had left her phone in the car and it was ringing inside the car.

"Aaaah.help..." I heard a scream in the middle of nowhere and started to run toward the place.

I kept running and running until i saw 2 men pulling Nadiah away. I ran fast toward them and started to beat one of the men up.

The other one started to hit me as I defended myself. After fighting with the men, they ran off tired.

Suddenly I felt something soft in my arms. Nadiah was hugging me. Oh my god, I didn't know if I should be mad at the guys or thank them for providing this moment for me.

"Nadiah." I said after a few minutes or standing there.

"I love you." I broke it all out as she removed her hands off of me and just looked into my eyes. Her eyes were widen and her nose was red from crying.

"Nadiah...say something." I said.

She didn't reply. She just started to walk as I followed her.

She got into her car as i watched her. She said nothing. Her face showed no emotion for me to understand if she was even in love with me.

She took off on her car and I followed her until she reached her house safely.

She looked at me ones before going inside her house but still no reply.

The next morning, I woke up smiling thinking about Nadiah.

Nadiah: we need to talk. Meet me at Starbucks at 10.

Oh god, she texted me and I overslept.  I was running around my room getting ready. When I went outside, ravi asked if I wanted coffee but I said no and ran to see my love.

I got to the coffee shop at 10 but where was she? I waited even after it turned 12 but she never ended up coming.

This was it, I called her but no reply. Was she taking revenge on my for just 3 words?

I got thara's number and she didn't reply either. These girls might be planning something?

"Sir, some girl told me to give this to you." A guy walked up to me.

"Who?" I asked.

"I dont know...two girls were here and they were actually behind the counter over there. Now they are gone...she told me to give it to you when she said so but now I need to leave and she isn't there." He said.

"What?" I asked.

I opened the gift box and a smile widened on my face.

Dear Mugen,
Sorry I wasn't able to respond yesterday. I needed time. I fell for you years back in high school. Those days when people said I liked you, that was the truth. You were the reason I rejected all those guys that came my way.
The reason I didn't say anything yesterday was not because I don't trust you or anything...actually you are whom I trust the most at this point. I was too shocked from the incident yesterday night.

You see those guys, they...they are these horrible rapists. They raped a girl and tried to throw her into a lake. Thara and I saw this and we had to stop all of this from happening. When we rebelled back, the men came for us.

I didn't think our lives were in danger until yesterday's incident. Mugen, sometimes waiting makes a moment even more spectacular.

After seeing this letter with a small chocolate bar, my mind felt really uncomfortable. The man said something about them standing there and never coming back.

I immediately called Tharshan to see what happened to Thara.

"Hey bro...how is things between you and Nadiah...I heard you proposed her last night." Tharshan said.

"Is Thara there?" I asked.

"Uh...no." He said.

"Bro, we need to meet." I said as I sent him the address to the Starbucks.

Tharshan POV:

I went to see Mugen. He seemed to be worried about something and this was also bothering me as well.

"Mugen bro?" I tapped him shoulders realizing he was in deep thought.

"Something happened to Nadiah and Thara." He said.

"What?" I asked.

"Yes...read this." He handed the paper to me. I started to read nadiah's love letter.

"Congrats bro but you can't just say something happened by looking at this. Maybe the girls are out." I said.

"But then a man here said they were here but were magically gone." Mugen said as I started to feel worried.

"Where could they be?" I asked.

"Mugen...if they were here, we need to see if if we can find them through the cctv footage." I said.

"I checked that bro...it was gone...like those times are not recorded for some reason. It doesn't even show that they came in." He said.

"That's weird." I said.

"This clearly shows that they are kidnapped." Mugen said.

"Don't worry, we will somehow track them down....but we need to know who those men are." I said.

"I remember them tharsh but...I can't tel without seeing them." He said.

"Lets go back to the same place you met them the last time...maybe we can use the cctv footage there?" I asked .

"Tharshan...your a genius." He said as we got on his car and left to the spot.

As he took me there I looked around to see if there were any CCTV anywhere but none were there.

We sat down in the same restraint we had dinner the day before. I had a slight feeling, they might have been following the two girls and Nadiah got causing all by herself.

"Let's look at the footage here."I said and he agreed.

I looked for any unusual things but non were found. Mugen was concentrating on when we were sitting there talking.

"Tharshan...it's him." Mugen said as I look at and found the looking very familiar.
