Chapter 6

Haein

How is he here? I thought he disappeared.

"Isn't he the new student that moved today?", I heard someone whisper.

"Don't you think so, Haein?", Seobin asked me.

"What?", I was confused about him.

"You must haven't heard me but don't you think that I could smoke pe-"

"Not that. How are you here?!", I cut him before he could finish.

"I guess you're curious", he sighed and threw his cigarettes to god knows where, probably to Nevada.

"I won't be telling you though", I scoffed.

"Then I can just jump now-"

"As if you would", he suddenly said.

"What?"

"I thought you were stronger than this", he continued making me more confused.

"I heard what happened and this is what you're gonna do? Honestly, the things I did to you was worse than this yet you didn't kill yourself", I looked at him remembering the things he did to me before.

"I'm kinda disappointed", he finished.

"Shut up, you're one of the reasons why I'm doing this", I tried to say quietly but he seemed to hear even he was far away.

He chuckled but then: "Jump then", he was serious.

I looked at him and saw his dark and serious eyes that told me to jump.

Part of me wanted to actually live and just forget this but another part of me told me to jump.

I was thinking which I should choose but as if a strong wind breezes passes me, I fell like that.

The moment I fell, I heard as the screams that were loud at first second, fall silent. I was expecting to hit the ground and black out but didn't feel anything.

I opened my eyes that were without realizing closed. First thing I saw was that I was laying on the ground. Second I saw was Seobin sitting on the ground beside. He saw me looking at me and gave me peace sign and a smile.

What in the world just happened?

Wonjin

I watched as the Seobin guy and Haein talk as if they knew each others.

When I heard him telling Haein to jump, I wanted to scream NO but I felt like I would only worsen things.

I wanted to punch the Seobin guy for saying that I couldn't bring myself to do that.

I looked at Haein who seemed to be in deep thoughts until she suddenly fell down. I ran to her but I was too late. The moment I tried to hold her hand, she was already gone.

What was more shocking was that Seobin guy jumping after her.

I looked down trying see what was gonna happen but sudden light came almost blinding everyone looking down. When the light disappeared all we saw was both of them on the ground, somehow still alive.

Immediately I ran all stairs to see her, Jinwoo following me behind. When we got down, Haein and Seobin were talking about something. I didn't meant to eavesdrop but I heard something shocking.

Haein

"I'm not sure but do you want to go to a whole new world like reborn again?", Seobin asked.

"As if it's possible", I scoffed.

"It's not impossible, I'm not forcing you to believe me but if it's too hard I can take you somewhere those annoying people don't exist", He said and was about leave.

"If that world is real, can I take Wonjin and Jinwoo with me", I asked making him stop his steps. He turned around just looking at me for a while and then continuing his walk.

I stood up, watching his figure get smaller until it's gone of my sight.

"Haein-ah", i heard Wonjin's voice. I turned around.

"Oh Wonjin, is everything okay?", I asked.

"We should be asking that instead, that guy didn't do anything to you, didn't he?", Wonjin stepped closer, Jinwoo following him behind.

"Yeah he didn't do anything, we better go to class before late", I suggested, trying to walk away.

"Wait! Are you sure everything's alright? You look-", before Wonjin could continue, a scream was heard behind them.

The trio ran exchanged looks and ran to the voice. There was student named Sihoon, sitting on the ground looking like he was about to cry.

"Sihoon? What's wrong?", Haein asked, after realizing it was her classmate.

"My butterfly", Sihoon said while crying.

"What?", the three questioned him but after looking at the broken glass Sihoon was close to, made them realize.

"The glass broke and your butterfly escaped", Jinwoo ran to Sihoon and comforted him.

"It's okay it will come back. I also lost my ladybug when I was young", Jinwoo told him, trying to comfort him.

"When did the glass break? Because I might've seen your butterfly", Haein asked, and kneeled down to sitting Sihoon.

"I don't know, I left it in my class this morning and I was taking walk here and this was already dropped here", Sihoon explained.

"Are you sure it's your? There must been another glass box", Wonjin suggested but Sihoon seemed to be sure.

"No way, there's my name under the box", he replied and turned the box to to show us. His name was indeed there.

Haein was about to say something but the bell rang and if they wouldn't leave immediately, they would be late.

"Damn it, I guess my butterfly's really gone", Sihoon said to himself, sadness in his voice.

"Haein, let's go now", Wonjin's voice called her. She wanted to help him but didn't wanna be late either.

In the end, Wonjin grabbed her wrist softly and dragged her to classroom. Jinwoo had already left in the middle of their way, leaving them two together.

"Haein, something happened when you were talking to that Seobin, right?", Wonjin started, letting go if her wrist.

"What do you mean? Nothing happened", Haein lied and tried to get away but Wonjin was, of course faster and stopped her.

"Haein-ah, don't you trust me?", Wonjin's question made Haein stop moving around.

"Of course you don't, I should've known, after all I'm the one who rejected you", Wonjin whispered loud enough for Haein to hear.

As Wonjin started to walk away, Haein turned around, seeing him leave her hurt but it was her fault for not being honest.

Haein couldn't move, she didn't want to. Moments of minutes passed and every classmate had passed. They had gave her a weird look before passing.

Nobody cared, they only cared if it was about death and life.

"Fuck this place, I'm going to a new fucking world"
