City

Wind blows across my face as I stand tall and proud, lights flicker on and off across the whole landscape and I feel calm, then out of nowhere I feel a pulling on my chest, a long silver thread presents itself, attached to my chest it falls down into the city somewhere attached to someone, that one person I know.

I take the plunge, dive head first flying downwards into the city, to see them, that one special person. The thread pulls more, even as I descend, my wings fold out, wide and angelic, yet black in colour, like a raven, I follow the string with an intense need to find you, I scour the city and then, right there, out of the corner of my eye, I spot you, with a powerful flap of my wings I stop and then head over to you, I land gracefully outside the cafe you're sitting in and head inside, but when I get in I see the thread slowly falling down as it shatters on your side, you turn around and say "Hi honey, I didn't see you come in, how are you?"
I say back "I'm fine, I noticed that our string is weaker now though"
"Our string?"
"Oh silly me, it's nothing to worry about"
"Come and have a seat with me"
"Okay" I say, sitting down next to her, she was radiating light and colour while the rest of the world was grey, but she had started to fade herself as the thread had weakened, it saddens me to see this, why the world is grey, while one person among the many is in colour, it was strange, I had yet to find out why it was this way, and I need your help to do it.
