(Part 17) *remake*

I guess I was too numb to feel anything and drained of energy to move my body that I had to be lifted up by both Maxie and Jun as they steadily bring me back up.

My legs feel wobbly but I forced myself to stand up and as the silence continues to overtake the air, we heard a knock coming from the door.

"Hello, student president?" The voice had a familiar sound of a British accent and I knew who it was when I saw his blue tail on the floor and I groggily lift my head up to be met with the hybrid fox standing in the doorway and holding a clipboard.

"Huh? Maxie, (Y/n)? What brings you here?" The fox said, tilting his head to look at us in a questioning gaze but before I could answer back- Maxie took my hand and shoved him aside as she makes her way out the room.

"Sorry, Johnson! I'll explain later." Maxie waved him off as she was more concerned over your well-being and decided to take you to the infirmary for you to rest because you look like you'll drop dead any soon now.

As Jun and Johnson watch the two departing girls. Both look at each other with one of them having a confused expression while the other sighed in exhaustion.

"What was that? Is (Y/n) alright?" Johnson asked after he saw the state you were in even for just a second but Jun just smiled in reassurance and waved his concern off. But the fox couldn't shake off the feeling that something is off about the human's movement.

"As Maxie said- I'll explain to you later." He told the hybrid who's standing ten feet away from him but Jun didn't mind as he knew the reason why.

"I'm sorry......."

You're voice sounding like you're about to cry echoed in his mind which caused his fist to tighten. The scene where you randomly lean onto him and apologized stunned him, especially when he saw a single tear slip past your eyes.

'Why are you even apologizing...?' That was what he wanted to ask, but seeing your face is enough for him to close his mouth.

You look like you have seen something with that look of sympathy directed to him plastered on your face...

"Are you better now?"

"....No."

After the brunette took me to the infirmary. She stayed beside me and watch how I buried myself in the blankets with my hair the only visible part she could see.

"Class is about to start. Are you sure you don't want to go back?" She said which was responded by a low, pitiful hum from the (f/c)-haired girl. Maxie sighed, she's supposed to be the dramatic one here but then again, she doesn't know what caused you to be like this.

"Well, suit yourself. Unlike you who wants to skip class, I actually have one to attend to that is Sr. Sashin and- Oh Yemma- what am I still doing here...??" She started mumbling to herself and I could hear the panic in her voice which got me curious as to why she seems so fearful of Sashin since his punishment isn't that scary.

"Oh dear- I have to leave now- Bye (Y/n)!" She stood up from her chair and dashes away after bidding me goodbye and I peeked my head above the cover to watch the hybrid speeding across the halls.
