A Wet Night

I tapped uncomfortably on the counter as we waited.
Kyungsoo whispered, "Patient, Princess. It's worth the wait."
I started imagining what it could be. Maybe drugs? No, what the fuck y/n? Kyungsoo isn't going to lead you into being a crackhead. Not literally, anyways.

I heard footsteps and saw Sehun approaching. He had a brown box in his hands that was bare of any words or labels. I looked at Kyungsoo, mentally begging that he wasn't purchasing a box of cocaine.
Kyungsoo grabbed the box and gave Sehun a bro hug. "Thanks, man. I'll see you soon." he told him. Sehun just rolled his eyes. "If you don't come visit soon, I will hunt you down. I will find you, and I will kill you." Sehun whined. Kyungsoo nodded sarcastically saying, "Uh huh." Sehun crossed his arms and pursed his lips in a pout, "I wasn't joking."

Kyungsoo lead me out by my hand.
"Thank you!" I called out to Sehun. He gave me a thumbs up and a half smile in return.

Kyungsoo hopped in the car and opened my door from the driver seat. "Okay, so.. what's in the box?" I asked him. "Not telling." he replied bluntly as he started driving away.
We had drove for about 20 minutes when I looked over to him and put my hand on his thigh. "Kyungsoo, what's in the box?" I asked with a hint of aegyo.
"That's cute." he told me. I opened my mouth to ask again, and he put his hand on mine. "Not cute enough to make me tell you, though."
I huffed and removed my hand. He turned on the radio and let the pop music play.
We drove a little longer before I was sure we were at a beach. Mind you, it was nighttime and verging on morning. Once he was parked in a parking lot next to the beach, he got out and opened the door for me. "Kyungsoo.." I mumbled. He nodded his head towards the beach. We both, as well as the box, made our way to the sand. "Kyungsoo, what are we doing here?" I asked him in frustration as I held my arms around myself in an attempt to feel secure. He sat the box on the ground.
"Here are the rules," he began, "No leaving the beach, no asking for help, and no flashlights. Whoever shoots the other in the face wins the game."
He opened the box and inside were loaded guns.

Water guns, to be exact.

He handed me one, and took the other into his own hand.
"Ready, set, go." he counted.
I darted away from him and into the water. I figured that it would be hardest to aim with the waves crashing over him. My plan was simple; avoid until he gives up.
My plan was also stupid, because if there's one thing Kyungsoo was, it was competitive.
He chased me into the ocean. It was quite cold, and I found myself trying to keep as little of me in the water as possible. He started shooting, and by god, he had shot me everywhere but the face.
I plunged myself underwater. It was cold as hell, and if I wasn't so committed to this game that I had no forewarning about, I would have given up and ran into his warm arms right then.
I swam around, trying to spot him. My eyes stung and the water tickled my neck. I could hear him calling out, "Y/n?"
I went to where I couldn't hear his voice directing towards me. If I snuck up on him from behind, he wouldn't have time to react as I shot him. I felt sand underneath my toes and prayed that I was far enough from the shore to stay hidden. When my chest was aching from holding the breath so long, I pounced on him. I felt his thick shoulders in my hand, and he turned to face me with a shocked expression. I laughed out loud, and aimed my gun at him.
He reached back to stop me, but he did more than that. He MMA body slammed me onto the shore. The breath was knocked out of me, and as I gasped, he slid the gun into my mouth.
"Boom. I win." He took the gun and sprayed my right in the face. I closed my eyes and winced.
He looked at me and his dark eyes didn't have any ounce of light in them. The sky was lit behind him, and his wet hair dripped onto my face. He put the gun back into my mouth as I laid there, mouth flopped open like a fish as I tried to process what had taken place.
I shifted uncomfortably as my jaw aches from the gun's pressure forcing it apart.
"Does it hurt?" he asked me.
I nodded.
"That's how I felt when you disappeared under the water. Confused, hurt, scared." he whispered. I hadn't thought about it. It was only a game. He never said that I couldn't go underwater. Even so, I felt bad.
"Are you sorry?" he questioned as he cocked an eyebrow.
"I sah-ee." I managed to say with the gun blocking most of the room in my mouth.
"Again." he commanded.
"I... sah-ee."
"And again."
I stopped and looked at him in confusion. He pushed the gun deeper into my mouth.
"Say it." he commanded again.
"I sah-ee."
He took his hand and smoothed his hair back, showing his thick eyebrows and nice hairline. I gulped.
"You're so easy to read sometimes, and then you suprise me at other times. Intriguing little girl." he spoke quietly. His eyes were back to being the big puppy eyes he sported so often. He took the gun out of my mouth, and the cold seemed to come back all of the sudden. I got a cold chill, and held my arms to soothe the goosebumps. My mind was blank as I watched him get a blanket from the car and toss it over my shoulders.

"Let's go home, Y/n."
