Youngjo sighed as he flipped the page of the fresh newspaper. He was currently trying to find a babysitter for Hwanjo. He could ask his mother to do the job but only for a few days. That's when he needed help but so far, he hadn't found even one suitable candidate. All of them were too...fake. He wanted someone realistic and pure not a person who would totally spoil his daughter or treat her as an infant. No. Someone who would understand her.
He raised his head to eye Hwanjo playing with her dolls at the other side of the living room.
,,You must act nicely, she's really shy." She spoke. ,,Okay, I will." The other character agreed and nodded. Youngjo couldn't help but smile. He loved seeing her like this; in her own world where everything was possible. That's why he needed someone smart and kind as a caregiver. Hwanjo wasn't just an ordinary six year old. She had a brain of her type. At one moment she could be seen staring at the white ceiling saying she loved the colours on it but on the next day she was telling people about the real problems of the world as if she was a grown woman. Youngjo often wondered how was it possible to have eyes like hers that could see beauty in everything even though it was all black. Maybe that's one of benefits of being a child. Your imagination has no limits and you create your own world no matter how weird it is. But then you grow up and the reality hits you like a truck. There are no pink panthers or rainbow unicorns or sad clouds anymore. Just dull rain and white snow. And borders, laws, work, life overall. It buries you. Until the moment you find that one spark in your life again. It can be whoever or whatever. And that's when you start seeing the meaning of life. How trees can be orange and blue, how an evil cauliflower can be friends with pink cucumber; it all comes back.
But sometimes just a bit late.
Youngjo was still looking for that spark. He had Hwanjo and even though he loved her more than everything, he still felt something was missing. It wasn't her girlfriend. It was something else.
And then he found it.
