THE SHELBY'S WERE A broken family. Ever since Grace had died, Florence could see her father going down a path that even she didn't know how to fix, when he came back from the War, the girl had managed to bring him back from the depths of hell, by just being there, but she couldn't do the same when Grace had met her tragic end, and even now, she didn't know how to help him come back from it all. The girl had been avoiding her father like the plague, not that he had even noticed, the man was too caught up in Grace's death to even notice her anymore — she had even taken the responsibility of looking after Charles since he was incompetent of doing so, and that even included saving the toddler with Michael, making sure that her brother got home safely and away from Father John Hughes's clutches. Florence didn't protest when Michael had requested to end that man's life, in fact, she had gone in to make sure Charles was safe and out of harms way before he even began, the girl had seen a lot of death and blood throughout her life, how could she not, when living in the depths of the Peaky Blinders; even now, Hughes's was something that didn't bother her in the slightest; not when he had threatened her brothers life.. No one should get away with that.

Since then, Florence liked to think that she had grown closer to Michael in the sense that they had both carried out a murder — whilst Florence hadn't physically been involved, she helped and abided, staying by Michael's side through it all, and she didn't regret it, not one bit, not even with her father breathing down her back because of it. But since that happened, the girl avoided Tommy even more than before, even going so far as to moving out of the house and in with Polly, the woman happy to have the girl living with her; Florence just didn't have the energy to deal with Tommy anymore, she was officially giving up. Florence hadn't been attending any family meetings, but when Polly had informed her that this one would be one of the most important ones yet, the girl couldn't exactly avoid it, and as she sat with her family in her fathers office, looking straight at him as he stood in front of wads of cash, the girl could truly sense how this family had fallen apart, and she didn't think there would be any way to fix it again.. Florence avoided her fathers burning gaze as she sat besides Michael and Ada, the girl looking down at her feet as the silence overwhelmed her completely.

The past few months had been the hardest she had ever had to endure, along with everyone else in the family, all suffering from Tommy's bad decisions and wrath since Grace had passed, and all putting up with it, until recently, when people have claimed they wanted out. When everyone was finally sat, Thomas began. "Before I begin, I want to let you know I made a mistake. I made a mistake and I want to apologise to all of you. Arthur, you warned me against getting involved in Russian business. And you were right. I doubted your wife, for that I'm sorry. Linda, I have added three thousands here in the hope that you'll forgive me." He spoke up, Florence gently shaking her head at the fact that her father believed he could buy back all of their trust and loyalties with money, because she sure as hell wasn't going to give in to it; she wanted a heartfelt apology for how he had treated her the past few months, and she wanted it to be sincere, she wanted him to realise how he had treated her, how he had pushed her away and how she had felt since he did so, and she didn't want it to happen in front of the whole family, either.
When Linda stood up and grabbed the money, Florence had to hold back her scoff; she didn't hate the woman, to say, but she didn't exactly think that she was all there for Arthur, either, not when she was so obsessed with controlling the man and accepting any money that Tommy passed their way, but not agreeing with the way the money was made. Tommy carried on, "Esme, I doubted you as well." He said, now looking towards John's wide.
