Never Be The Same~ Camila Cabello

"Just one hit of you, I knew I'll never ever, ever be the same."
-

I sighed heavily as I took the same seat in the small cafe, down the road from my house, like I always do. As much as this cafe is really lovely, it's boring. It's the same people, the same food, it's always the same. I smiled at the same waitress who brings me the same drink I have every time. I took a sip of my drink before pulling my phone out of my pocket. The only reason I go to this cafe is because it's an easy escape from my house. But everything is the same around here.

I'm scrolling through Instagram like always when I hear the door open. I look at the time with a confused look. No one ever comes in here at this time and no one new comes here because it's in a very unknown place. I turn my gaze towards the door and I see a boy about my age with gorgeous blonde hair and sparkling ocean eyes. He was wearing an oversized hoodie which gave him the most adorable sweater paws ever and he had a small satchel sling over his right shoulder. He was also alone and walked up to the counter extremely shyly. He ordered something, pushing his glasses slightly up his nose, and then took a seat at the table opposite mine.

Once he'd sat down, he took a second to look around the cafe and as his eyes glanced around, they stopped on mine. I stared back into his beautiful eyes and I offered him a small smile which he immediately returned. He looked away as the waitress gave him his drink and he took a sip of it before grabbing a small book out of his bag. He placed on the table and his eyes squinted slightly even with his glasses as he began to read it.

He looked up suddenly at me and it was only then that I realised I had been staring at him. I quickly diverted my gaze but looked straight back at him as he looked down again. I fiddled absentmindedly with my nose ring and my eyes flickered over to the clock. I realised I didn't have to leave anytime soon so I could take a shot. I wrote my number on a napkin, put it in my pocket and stood up.

I made my way over to his table and he looked up, surprised when I stopped there.

"Hi, I'm Reece." I said to him and stuck my hand out for him to shake.

"I.. I'm G-George." He stuttered back and shook my hand slowly.

"A gorgeous name for a gorgeous boy." I said and he blushed.

"Um.. th-thank yo-you." He replied smiling and I grinned at him.

"So George, are you doing anything later?" I asked him and he looked at me for a second in silence before shaking his head.

"No, no I'm n-not."

"Well, is there any chance that you would want to come on a date with me blue eyes?" I asked him and he looked taken back.

"You-you're asking m-me?" He asked, shocked and I chuckled.

"Yes George, of course I'm asking you. I don't see anyone else here called George with stunning blue eyes." George turned more red.

"I never th-thought someone so beautiful would ask me-me on a date." It was my turn to blush as George didn't seem like the person to have that much confidence to compliment someone he just met. "Y-yes. I would l-love to go on a date with y-you Reece." He replied and I smiled.

"Text me." I said and I gave him the napkin with my number on it and he took it, smiling.

"Oh, I definitely w-will."

I left the cafe with a smile. Finally something different happened in that small cafe, and I couldn't be more glad that the different thing was George.
