"Denise! Open up! It's your first day of school,"

I groan, I get up and open the door.

"How does it feel like to be in junior year on a brand new school?" Mom asks, "Eh, mixed emotions."

"Well then lady, go take a shower! We'd be leaving 15 minutes from now. I don't want you to take the bus, i'll be bringing you to school!"

"Nah, I'd just walk, it seems faster anyway."

"I bet you don't know the way."

"Nah, i'd just ask someone the directions. Bye mom, you could leavee." I shut the door, get my speakers and my phone, play some punk rock music then a song comes up.

"She's a good girl, she's daddy's favourite, He's saved for Harvard, He know she'll make it. She's good at school, She's never truant, She can speak french, I think she's fluent."

I sing the rest of the lyrics until I hear a knock. "Wait! I'm taking a shower."

"Hurry up, Denden!" Ugh, I hate that nickname.

I pick some simple yet classy outfit, I mean first day of school in a new school, right?

I get out of my bathroom, get my backpack and leave my house walking to school.

"Hi, do you know International School Los Angeles? I mean, it's probably near, right?" I look at this

glasses-eyed, brown hair and a beautiful face.

"Uh, yeah, I study there." WHAT A RELIEF.

"Oh my gosh! That's awesome, can you lead me to the school?" "Uh, sure. But i'm taking the bus."

"Please? I don't feel like taking the bus."

"Ugh, fine. Let's go."

We walk together to the school together, people thinks we're a 'couple'.

"Yo, Irwin! New girlfriend huh? She's got the looks!" The gang laughs. "Haha, nice, Hood. She's new here, just bringing her to school."

"Here, we are." Says the guy that brought me to school. "Thank you so much! I'm Denise. You?"

"Um, Fletcher. Call me Fletcher." "Fletcher Irwin? Thanks Fletcher!"
