Chapter 4-Quit?

Chapter 4

"You should start exercising every morning, anything that you got any interest on like for example, singing." Kyungsoo said without looking at the guy next to him. It was their second day and as usual they are on the cafe with all the ambiance and everything. "Or dancing."

"I don't dance." Jongin suddenly said, that was the first set of words that the guy said for almost an hour of sitting at same spot in the cafe. It felt odd knowing that Jongin's first impression to Kyungsoo is being an asshole he is who never got tired of talking and insulting and throwing non-sense joke to him. But now, Jongin is quiet, losing himself to his own thoughts. "anymore." He continue.

"Ahuh, you can dance again you know. It's not as if you broke your two legs and you can't stand on your own feet....or knees." Kyungsoo crossed his arms on his chest and smirked at Jongin who is now keeping his blank face.

"You don't understand. I said I don't dance anymore." The guy repeats his sentence emphasizing the last word. "I'll try the singing. Or magic trick, anything but dancing."

"Why?" Kyungsoo suddenly asked. "Why did you stop dancing?" Curiousity kills the cat, they say. So before it could kill him, he finally ask that question.

"Nothing." Jongin shrugged and looked away. "No reason at all. I don't feel like dancing anymore." Kyungsoo can't help but stare. For him, if he would put his self to Jongin's place and quit singing he must've gone crazy by now. Singing is his life. And quitting it is probably the same as comitting suicide.

"Did something happen that leads you for quiting it?" He's concern. He don't want to but he is. "Jongin?"

"Sometimes life sucks." A very deep sigh escaped at Jongin's lips. "It will make you quit the only reason why you live." He turned to Kyungsoo and smile, a weak one. "Do you want another cup of coffee?"

"Jongin." Kungsoo said almost a whisper. The sadness that covers Jongin's eyes bothered him so much. He wants to make him dance again. To live again but he doesn't know how. He doesn't want to know because who was Jongin in his life anyway? He's just his 'Patient' and nothing more. No strings attached. No feelings involve just pure job.

Kyungsoo was already in his apartment and sulking himself on his sofa, looking into space. Thinking and wondering why Jongin doesn't want to dance anymore. He wants to help him stand up again and live his life but he was afraid to ask Jongin about it, so too he is afraid of what is happening to him.

As for him, Jongin is afraid to try everything for the second time around. He is afraid to dance again maybe because he is afraid to fail again. He is afraid to fall in love again because he was once hurt. But the thing about being afraid of falling inlove is that, It's not the falling itself, it's the fact that you'll get hurt over and over again. Just like Jongin, he closed his heart for another opportunity, for another love, and doesn't want to try anymore.

So Kyungsoo wants to change Jongin's perspective about everything. Because your life doesn't end with a single try, you need to try, fail, try, try and succeed. That's life and that's the thing he doesn't know. So does Kyungsoo himself.

The days gone by but no single call from Jongin indicating that the boy still doesn't want his help. Kyungsoo wanted to talk to Chanyeol about this but Chanyeol, also, is nowhere to be found. Do they evaporate to the world and leave without a single trace? Or they are just hiding from him? Kyungsoo thought.

"And that's the 10th time. Seriously Dyo what's with all the sighing?" Kyungsoo was at the bar, specifically at the back stage supossedly practicing their songs for tonight but Kyungsoo's mind was preoccupied the whole time. Chen even noticed it and couldn't help his self to ask.

"I was just... I'm a little bit stress." Kyungsoo answered before releasing another sigh.

"Lovelife?"  Kyungsoo shook his head vigorously and slap Chen's arm so hard that he think it would leave a mark.

"Of course not!"

"Defensive much." The boy just rolled his eyes and crossed his arm. "Don't think about him that much. He loves you." Kyungsoo just make face while Chen laughed his heart out.

The next day, Kyungsoo decided to check on Jongin in his apartment. Actually, he really doesn't wanna do this but since he realized that his job is to help Jongin mend his broken heart ( and well, to pursue him to dance again) he decided to go there despite of his disapproving heart.

He rung the doorbell twice and wait for someone to open the door. But he was surprised when Sehun open the door and shout.

"Fvck! Jongin where have been?! I've been waiting for yo- he stopped in the mid-sentence when he shouted at the wrong person. "Oh. Uhh, come in." Without thinking twice Kyungsoo went inside.

"So he was gone since last week?" The younger boy nods and rest his head to his hand. They were at the living room both facing each other. "And you have no idea where he went?"

"Ahuh. It was obvious, I shouted at you expecting that you were Jongin but you're certainly not." They both sighed and went to silent. Now what? Jongin doesn't even got home since last week. Where did that little brat go?

"That bastard, how could he abandoned me like this? He should've atleast tell me, 'Hey, mother fucker I'm going and don't find me because I will be gone for days' doesn't he know that I will be dead if his parents find out about this?"

"Why?" Kyungsoo can't help but asked.

"He did this before when Baekhyun broke up with him." Kyungsoo was shocked. So Jongin did this disappearing move after Baekhyun broke up with him? He must've been really in love with the boy. Kyungsoo mentally shook his head and sigh. He's a serious case. But who pushed him to do this again this time?

"I'll go now. Thanks for informing me." The latter just nod and smile weakly. "Don't worry, he'll be back." Kyungsoo said more like to himself.
