COLORISM (FIVE)

Colorism 

Is not okay. Colorism is basically being racist against your own race. For example, light skin people saying they're glad they're not dark skin, or a dark skin saying someone's too light.

Colorism flows into many catagories and topics. 

Privilege 

Is real. Very real. Believe it or not, there's a such thing as light skin privilege. Light skin privilege is basically when people want a black actor, or girlfriend, or boyfriend, but don't want them to be too dark, aka, darkskin. 

There are many actors that are blind to receiving lightskin privileges. Like, Yara Shahidi, Zendaya, Tracee Ellis Ross etc. 

I'm definitely not saying these ladies don't deserve to be where they are, beacuase they're amazing, but they're blind to the privilege they're receiving. Zendaya especially. They're the main ones getting big movie roles, or tv roles. 

Hate

Hate on darkskins needs to stop. I personally think darkskins have the best skin. They look good in EVERYTHING! 

How in the fuck can you hate them? At that point, it's just self hatred.

Idk

Also, some people forget that brownskins exist. We are not light skin, nor are we dark skin. Just in the middle. (I wish I was darkskin tbh)
