Synopsis
An Erkenci Kus CanEm Marriage of Convenience AU.
Neither Can Divit nor Sanem Aydin are looking for love. But both must find a significant other if they are to succeed in their business ventures. A contract for a temporary marriage seems like the ideal solution - they help each other reach their business goals, and move on.
Nothing personal, just a professional contract between two consenting adults.
Yes, there would be rules. No, there would be no strings attached.
What could go wrong, right?
-------------------------------------------------------
Can
Can Divit, world-renowned, globe-trotting photographer, found himself back in the company his father had founded. Fikri Harika was bankrupt and on the verge of shutting down. Aziz Bey was still in the hospital after suffering a massive heart attack. The company's finances were in shambles, and it was up to Can to pick up the pieces and put it back together, if he wanted.
Can never turned away from a challenge. He had a plan, and he had determination and grit, all he needed was money. But the investors were justifiably wary. They knew that Aziz' older son never stayed in Istanbul for too long. Not to mention his lady's man reputation, which preceded him. Neither bolstered confidence in the primarily older, traditional, investment firms. They weren't going to pour money into Fikri Harika only to have him up and leave, chasing after some new enticing conquest.
Can knew he had to show them he was here to stay, well, at least till he could get the company back on its feet. He had to prove that he was a stable, dependable and trustworthy client - fast.
Sanem
Sanem Aydin worked as a copywriter at Fikri Hariki, so she could save for the career she really wanted. The owner of her own perfume company. She knew she had it in her to succeed - she had the perfume formulas, she had the drive, she had the passion, all she needed was the investment to get started.
She was the flighty one in her family, the dreamer. Floating from one job to another because none of them held her interest like the one she dreamed of. No one believed she would actually amount to anything, so getting family and friends to support her venture had proved futile.
Her mother's rich, widowed aunt had written both Sanem and her sister Leyla into her will. Five hundred thousand lira when they turned 25. It was more than she needed to get started.
But of course, there were conditions. They would only inherit the money if they were married and well settled. Because her old aunt may have been rich, but she died unhappy and lonely and possibly a little crazy. She was ultimately as traditional as most women of her generation, firmly believing in the misguided notion that a woman was only complete with a man by her side, a man who would help her manage her wealth.
Sanem was four months from her 25th birthday. Time was running out and she needed to find a man - fast.
