Today was Harry's birthday and he couldn't really care for it, because it's always the same every year. He gets beaten by his uncle, he does his aunt's work, and has to do whatever Dudley says.
But this summer Harry decides enough is enough. No more will he be someone's punching bag or slave. This year he taking back his life.
In school he's heard of some of the students go through and inheritance, it tell a person all their information. Harry was hoping to take this test and hoping he'd find someone that could help him escape his bloody world.
