Chapter 3
A few moments later Jessica and Zachary slipped out of the cafe before the police could arrive on the scene.
"So to sum it up, Dominic as we knew, was working for the Russians, pretending to be a double agent and giving them fake intel on the U.S. but it turns out he really was a double agent. So the Russians pretended to put a hit out on Dominic and gave fake evidence of his death, which would mean no one would check his old aliases?"
"Yep, that pretty much sums it up." Zachary said as he pushed his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose and pulled his hat lower across his face.
"First off, where did you just recently learn this? And second off, please slow down!" She huffed. Jessica was only 5'2" while Zachary was a solid 5'11" meaning his legs were much longer than Jessica's.
"Do you want me to carry you?" Zachary smirked.
"Nope, I do not wish to repeat that incident in France '99." Jessica replied tartly.
"If you insist. So back to matters at hand, since we're the ones who technically got him 'killed', Dominic's after us. Also, we have to assume he's kept tabs on us since his 'death' so all of our aliases, past and present, have been most likely rendered useless. Plus, he knows our weak spots, past and present."
"Thanks for the encouragement! I can always count on you to bring the already negative mood into full blown pessimisticness."
"Oo, when did 'pessimisticness' enter the English language?" Zachary asked.
    "Since forever."
    "Uh-huh."
    "Yep."
"Anyways," Zachary started, "what's our game plan?"
    "Our?"
"Well if our old buddy is after both of us, might as well go in hiding together."
"So make it a 2 for 1 deal?" Jessica questioned, not seeing the benefits of going into hiding with her ex boyfriend (who she may or may not still have feelings for).
"Well, when you put it that way. . ."
Jessica rolled her eyes at Zachary. "Fine, fine. What do you want to do first?"
    "Obviously take off our clothes."
"Excuse me?" Jessica thought of before, when she was with Zachary, when his lips were on her lips.
"Well, not like that! Old Dom' probably bugged our clothes."
"Good point." Jessica agreed while attempting to get a certain image out of her photographic memory. "Off to the store we go."
