2 days later
*RING*
First day back from school since the day the tragedy happened. I really wish I'm not failing I hope not either because I've been homeschooled online for a while. Limping down the hall on my crutches comes a buffed light skinned boy offering to help me carry my books to my locker.
"Need help with that?" He smiles
"Ah...yeah actually thanks" I say handing over my books
"My lockers right down there." I correct
"Really so is mine"
"That's weird I haven't really seen you around here since I've been in this school" I say putting in the combination to my locker
"Well it's actually because I just moved to this school about a week ago" he says
"Oh really that's cool from where?"
"I come from-" he gets cut off by Matthew
"Hey babe who's this"
"Oh this is..I'm sorry I didn't catch your name?"
"My name is Dashawn" he corrects
"Dashawn yeah my name is Sydney and this is my boyfriend Matthew"
"Sup" he says with his deep voice
"I'll take those books" says Matt taking the books from Dashawn making him walk away
"You were a little too rude Matt" I roll my eyes, putting my books in my locker and walking to class.
LUNCH
I grab my crutches and walk down to the cafeteria by myself because nobody I know has 7th period lunch with me. "Hey sydney wait up!" I hear a deep voiced guy say behind me,well I hope it's a guy. Turning around I see Dashawn running over to me. "You have 7th period lunch too?" I ask
"Sure do" he replies
"Here let me take your lunch for you" he softly offers
"Thanks" I say
5 minutes later we're both sitting down on a table talking to each other about our lives.
"So how you break yo leg?"
"Well I didn't really break my leg, I got shot-"
"Shot?" He cuts me off
"Yeah I-"
"Like with a gun?" He cuts me off again
"Yes with a gun" I giggle
"Wow but how?"
"It's a long story, but I'll try to shorten it up a bit.....I got kidnapped with my best friend right after a party and when we were trying to escape she shot me in the leg"
"Whoa? did they arrest whoever did it?" He wonders
"No I don't know who she was, but I guess she knew who I was"
"Psh that's some fucked up shit" he complained
I giggle at him
"Wow you have the most gorgeous smile I've ever seen"
"Thank you" I blush
After school
"Yo Sydney!" Says Dashawn
"Hey Dashawn what's up"
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime"
"Oh I'm sorry Dashawn but I'm dating Matthew"
"I didn't mean it like a date I meant like as friends silly" he giggles
"Oh *giggles* than I'd love to"
"Wanna go out for some coffee or something?" He asks
"Sure lets go" I agree
Following him over to his car he rushes in front of me to be a gentleman and open the door for me.
"Thank you" I say
20 minutes later
Arriving at the coffee shop Dashawn and I ask each other random silly questions.
