~CHRISTINE'S POV~
Another day of this dreadful high school. Someone said there is a new girl, but she should not have come because this school is terrible. My friend said she goes by the name of Stevie and that the principal wanted me to show her around.
I started to walk to office and walked through the door. I saw this beautiful, sweet, young lady and knew that had to have been Stevie.
"Hi, you must be Stevie." I said as I held my hand out to shake hers.
She looked very surprised about my accent. I gave her a nice smile and hand shake as did she.
"Yes, I'm Stevie. You must be Christine?" She said with confusion.
I nodded and started to walk out the door, motioning my hand for her to follow. She was just gorgeous and sweet. I couldn't believe it. She seemed a little worried and scared for it being her first day. I thought it was adorable.
After, I showed her around the school a bit. It was time for lunch, and I offered her to sit next to me and she nodded, trying to hide a grin. I talked to her a bit and she had loads of questions.
"So where are you originally from, Christine?" She said.
I could tell she was still focussing on that I was English.
"I'm from England." I said putting my hand in top of hers. She smiled and nodded. She looked down at my hand and picked it up to look at my palm trying to read the lines. I could tell she was a spiritual person as I. It made me happy, and a bit nervous. I think that I actually like her; not just as a friend either. She had these sharp beautiful baby-brown eyes that I was very attracted to. Her eyes made me feel comfortable.
She put my hand down and said,"you're a trustworthy person, you care for others, and you try to help others as much as you can."
I sat and thought for a moment thinking of what she had told me.
"You got all that from the lines on my hand?" I said with a slight grin.
"No, I just wanted to see how soft your hands were. I got all that on how you came to office and helped me, and how I feel I can trust you." She said as she traced circles on my palm.
I could tell that she liked me in a different way. It brought me happiness as I gazed into her beautiful baby-brown eyes. I sat there and thought to myself...
I wondered if I was a lesbian. I was scared of the thought. I didn't want to believe it, but I knew that I was starting to have feelings for Stevie. I knew I liked her more than a friend. This was surprising to me, but I thought and thought. I thought of how I always found girls slightly more attractive than boys. I never even thought of kissing a boy. I didn't have any interest in kissing a boy. I knew just then that I was a lesbian.
Finding out who I really was and how I felt around Stevie scared me. What would my mum think of this? If she were still alive, she would have been disappointed. I knew I had to keep this a secret and I couldn't tell Stevie my feelings that I had for her.
The bell rang and I helped Stevie off of the bench where we were sitting side by side. I knew I had to spend more time with her. I wanted her to at least be my friend. I couldn't stand the thought of her and I not being at least friends.
"Hey, Stevie, do you want to come to my house for a sleepover?" I said with a slight grin.
"Sure, Chris, that's sounds great, can I call you Chris? It's easier for me to say." She said with a giggle.
"Why, sure you can. I never really had a nickname. I laughed.
"Can I come over around 7p.m.?" She said.
"Sure, I'll come pick you up." I said with a wink.
She nodded and wrote her address on a small piece of paper and slowly stuck it into my front pocket not breaking eye contact. I felt excitement fill my body. I knew the feelings I had for Stevie were real and it hurt knowing I could never tell her or anyone in fact, that I love her. I let out a long sigh and waved to her as she walked off. It's 7p.m now and I'm waiting outside Stevie's house in my car. I see her coming out the door now as she waved at me. She has a small bag I'm assuming filled with some clothes. I notice a small box with a ribbon tied on top too. I wonder was it is that she has or what it's for. She climbs into the car.
"Hi Chris! I have a present for you." She said with a huge grin on her face."Why what is it?" I asked.
"You have to open it, silly." She smiles.
I open it as she says and I see a beautiful crescent moon necklace that she wears on her neck as well.
"You got me a matching necklace as yours?" I say with a smile.
"Yes, I just wanted to thank you for showing me around the school. I thought it was very nice. When I first saw you, I had no idea you were a student. You don't at all look seventeen. You look like you're in your twenties. Which means you're very mature for your age." She said.
"Why thank you, Stevie. I am a very mature person. I get it from my mum." I said as I put my hand on her left thigh.
I knew I was bringing her pleasure from touching her thigh, but I couldn't make it look like I was a lesbian, or that I had a crush on her. It began to feel wrong what I was doing and I quickly removed my hand from her thigh and put my keys in the ignition.
