Chapter 1: An Unusual Encounter

Lelouch's POV_____________________________

    It has been about three hundred years since Shirley had died. I should have gotten over her death by now but I still can't get her sweet words out if my head…
Lelouch's Memory_________________________
    "No matter how many times I am reborn… I will keep on loving you…"
    "Shirley! No don't say that, I command you to live!" I remember screaming and yelling that day, trying but failing to use my geass on her to live. I saw that it was starting to work for a few seconds, but it quickly stopped because I had already used it on her last year to make her forget everything she new about me. But somehow she would always find a way to remember.
    "I suppose that it is fate..." She smiled, but I couldn't bring myself to smile back at her.
    "No Shirley you can't die!"
    "So is that okay… Lulu? And every time I'm reborn, I will fall for you over and over... I will keep... falling... in love... with-..." She couldn't finish her sentence. Her pulse was gone , her face now pale, her beautiful and bright smile was no more. The soft hand of hers that had been holding onto me had loosened and fell into a pool of her own blood where the gun she was using to protect herself was lying. My tears stopped, everything went silent, she is dead.
    "SHIRLEY!!!"

Lelouch's POV_____________________________

    I am 318 now but I doesn't look like I've aged a day ever since Suzaku, my best friend and knight, dressed up as the unknown hero named Zero (which was actually my masked identity) and stabbed me with a sword in front of the world. It wasn't his fault though, both Suzaku and I planned this. He would fake his death in battle against Kallen, Zero's ace knightmare pilot, in front of the world and when everyone believed he was dead, I asked him to dress up as Zero and save the world from the tyrant who is ruling (which was me at the time).

    It pains me so much to think of Nunnally's face after seeing her brother get stabbed and fall to the ground right next to her where she was chained in front of the prisoners for execution(but of course I would never hurt her so that is most of why I planned this). I Lelouch Vi Britannia, the tyrant and exiled prince (otherwise known as "the demon emperor), had created an unstoppable army, destroyed the rotten and cruel world Nunnally and I were living in, ruled as a cold blooded tyrant, died for everyone's sins, and created a new world in which Nunnally and my dearest friends (that includes Milly) could live in peace and harmony.

    It's funny, I was doing all of this for my dear sister Nunnally who wanted nothing more in her life than to be with me, her big brother, for the rest of her life. Yet there I was dead, lying on the ground, right next to her. And even though Suzaku was wearing my Zero mask, I knew that only he, C2, Kallen, Jeremiah, and Nunnally (Nunnally has the gift to see your sins and the reason why you did them) would understand my real intentions and be heartbroken about my death. I am immortal with the code now. But unlike most immortals, I still contain my geass ability to compel anyone to do the impossible (this time I can use it on a person more than once and I can control it).

    Everyone who wasn't killed by me had lived their lives except for Shirley… dammit, I should be over this by now! And here I was deciding whether of not I should kill myself again for the 6th time. I do not know where that green haired witch C2 is, she left me years ago, but I don't care anymore. I am standing in a field of green grass next to a bed of poppies and looking up at the sun. This whole scenery reminds me of Shirley. With her emerald eyes and orange hair, she was so bright, innocent, and happy all the time, like the sun. Why did such a sweet girl have to die. I wish she was here with me. I should have just said those three simple words a long time ago. I knew that she loved me, but I never loved her back.
