11) The next day

Everyone gathered in the group's room. It was so awkward between Jimin and N and it was like everyone could feel that.

Jungkook: "So uhm... did something happen between you two or..?" he asked.
Jimin: "No why..." he said as he looked at N.
Jungkook: "It just feels awkward between you two as if something happened yesterday.."
Jimin: "But nothing happened yesterday Jungkook-ah" he said as he looked away.
Seulgi: "Jungkook! He said nothing happened so let it be, what would have happened anyway? It's not like they kissed or anything" she laughed as Jimin and N made eye contact.

N's bff: "How about we take a break yeah?" she said as everyone agreed. She then pulled N out of the room to talk.

N's bff: "Yo, what happened yesterday? You and Jimin were together right? You never came back up so... tell me"
N: "Oh my god... I don't even know were to begin..." she said as she looked down.
N's bff: "No way! Tell me!"
N: "So... we weren't actually on the school grounds... he invited me into his house and then we talked and stuff. Then suddenly he began always getting closer to me..."
Bff: "No fucking way! Did you two..??"
N: "Hey! We only kissed and nothing more..."
Bff: "YOU TWO KISSED?? Why haven't you told me????"
N: "Because we agreed not to talk about it... it was just like that kiss made things really awkward between us so I ended up leaving..."
Bff: "You just left him?? After you kissed? But... you do realize that this will make him feel like he ruined everything and that you didn't want to kiss him... so what if he thinks you're not interested and then he stops trying to date you because he is scared that you will feel uncomfortable..."
N: "I didn't even realize all of that... it's my fault... I shouldn't have left.. I was just too shy to tell him that I did want to kiss him..."
Bff: "Shit, he is probably feeling really bad about it right now..."

Meanwhile they talked, Jimin and Jungkook also talked.

Jungkook: "Seriously Jimin, why was the tension so awkward? What happened between you and N?" he asked curiously.
Jimin: "Bro... I really messed up, I took her to my house and then kissed her yesterday"
Jungkook: "Yoooo really? How is that 'messing up' though?"
Jimin: "Because she didn't want to do any of that, she even ended up leaving"
Jungkook: "She left...??? What??? No way... but she obviously likes you... so what made her leave?? Maybe she was just too shy"
Jimin: "No.. I don't think so... she obviously didn't want to be there... why did I have to kiss her oh my god, I just ruined everything and now she probably doesn't want to have anything to do with me anymore"
Jungkook: "Jimin, you're being too hard on yourself... N isn't like those other girls who would do anything just to kiss you. She is a girl who actually thinks about things and we both know she is shy, I'm 100% sure she did want to kiss you but she probably just felt like you didn't want to or something"
Jimin: "Bro, I don't know what to do... I love her... I just really want to be with her.. I hope she doesn't hate me"
Jungkook: "You said that without hesitation or embarrassment, I'm proud of you bro. I think you should talk to her about what happened, or maybe I can help? I'm sure N has told her best friend about it so I could ask her what N has told her?"
Jimin: "I don't want to put any more pressure on her though.... I think and hope she just needs time to think about it"
Jungkook: "Maybe..." he said as they headed back to the room to continue the project.

Seulgi: "So I don't know what's going on but uhmm... Jimin and N do you have your measurements so I can-"
Jimin: "We didn't have enough time to-"
Seulgi: "WHAT?" she cut him off. "Why did you not have time??? Did you two do anything else instead??? HUHH????"
Jimin: "No... why do you think that?? We just didn't have enough time to finish the measurements okay?? Sorry" he lied
Seulgi: "Okay okay... then finish it now!!" she said as she left in anger.

Jimin and N looked awkwardly at each other. They got up and began measuring themselves, without talking...

Jimin: "N?" he suddenly said.
N: "Mmm?" she shyly replied.
Jimin: "Are we really going to ignore each other like this from now on...?
N: "Jimin... let's just concentrate on this project okay... I'm sure the others would be disappointed in us if we lose"
Jimin: "Right..." he said sadly.

They continued to measure themselves as Seulgi entered. They then all gathered and continued to work on the project.

Days passed and they were almost finished. As for as the tension between N and Jimin, nothing had changed. Not even after that whole project work week was over. They were still really awkward.

Then came the day were the winners would be announced....
