Trigger Warning:
Shoto POV
"Is it just me or does Bakugo kinda seem, different?" I asked, putting my head on my hand as I spoke to Midoriya, who stood over my desk. "He usually has an angry type aura radiating off him. He seems kinda soft today." I looked up at Midoriya who looked back at Katsuki for a second or two, a small satisfied smirk on his face, which raised confusion for me.
"Kacchan can be like that sometimes. He doesn't always look angry."
That smirk had gone as fast as it appeared, but I was officially curious. Midoriya smirking at Bakugo? A very weird thing to see. Especially since Midoriya acted so scared of the boy, since Bakugo apparently bullied him. A lot of our classmates hates him because of that fact, yet I don't. I actually find him quite adorable, especially when he would lash out on someone and then quickly cover his mouth as if he didn't mean it. Though, apparently a lot of us find it hard to believe he doesn't mean it with that angry look he usually wears. But now it's gone. He kinda looks a little dull. The bell rang and everyone sat down, but Aizawa was late. We all waited for like ten minutes before he rolled in and began teaching like it was nothing.
"I really hate this but due to Principle Nezu's orders, we'll be talking about mental health. Every hero needs good mental health, so that they'll be in the right mind to save others. Today we'll talk about a common mental disorder; Depression. Depression is a common and serious mental disorder that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person's ability to function at home and at work. Depression symptoms can be anywhere from mild to severe. Some symptoms are, changes in apatite, trouble sleeping or sleeping too much, energy loss, doing purposeless activities, feeling worthless or guilty, finding difficulty in thinking, concentrating, or making decisions, and thoughts of death or suicide."
A lot of the students seemed to glance at Midoriya, Tenya, Uraraka, and I. And a couple of others seemed to glance at different people. I happened to just look over to Bakugo who seemed to be shifting uncomfortably. Very unusual if you ask me, but this has been going on for a while now if I think about it. There were days where he just looked and seemed really dull, but today was different, he even looked pale. Odd.
"Things that can lead to depression are bullying, abuse, family loss, and other things."
Nearly everyone snapped their heads in Bakugo's direction when the term bullying came into play. He flinched which immediately made me even more concerned than before. I watched him carefully while he played with his fingers, avoiding all eye contact.
"Since we know that some of you have been a victim of such things, I'm asking some of you to come up here and show us your arms. And I'll wipe your arms with makeup remover just to make sure, and if you're experiencing any of these other symptoms, please, call this number. Now. Midoriya, Todoroki, Tenya, and Uraraka."
I pulled my eyes away from Bakugo and I stand up and go up to the front of the classroom, Midoriya and Tenya standing on each of my sides and Uraraka on Midoriya's right as Aizawa was writing a number on the board. We all lifted our sleeves and held them out to the class. I had scars, but not many, plus they had healed over. Midoriya only had scars from his quirk. Everyone looked at me in shock.
"They're from a few years ago. Not now." I quickly explained as Aizawa still wiped my arms with makeup remover. Nothing was there for anyone so he told us to go back to our seats. I went back to my seat and looked at Bakugo. We made eye contact for a moment before he quickly looked away. I swore I saw him blush. Cute. Oh, yeah I like Bakugo. I've seemed to have grown feelings for him over time. Class continued, the talk of depression going in until the lunch bell rang.
I noticed that Katsuki seemed to be staying behind again. I wanted to know where he was going. It must be important to miss lunch everyday. I hid around the corner until I saw Bakugo walk past me and I began silently following him up to... The roof? Maybe he ate here instead of in the cafeteria. But no. He never brought lunch from home. I peeked up on the roof and carefully watched Bakugo's movements. He sat down against the wall and plugged in some ear buds and closed his eyes. Is this what he does everyday? He was getting to skinny though, as if he didn't even eat at home. I know this because I sometimes let my eyes wander over to his body when we're changing for training or something of the sort. Since he isnt paying attention, I decide to creep up there and sit next to him. It's rare that I get to actually just be next to him. It's a nice feeling, just his seemingly soft presence was enough for me.
"Wah!"
I looked over at Bakugo who was now staring at me, and he looked legitimately startled. He calmed down after few seconds though, a clear sigh of relief leaving his lips as he pulled his ear buds out of his ears.
"Todoroki... What are you doing up here? Shouldn't you be in the cafeteria or something?"
"I think I have the right to ask you the same thing. I've noticed that you've been coming up here instead of going to lunch so I decided to join you.... What is that?" I asked, getting a better look at his face. It was almost hard to see, but there was a long line across his cheek. Like an indent almost, and it was a deep indent. Was he hurt or something? Stitches maybe? Makeup?
"Um... What is what?"
He asked, and I could see a small trace of fear in his voice. "This indent on your face here." I said and gently cupped his cheek, rubbing my thumb over the mark. It was a scar! I knew one when I felt one, I have plenty. Katsuki began blushing, which I thought was rather adorable. "What happened? How'd you gain this wound? Why did you put makeup over it?" I asked and then the fear clearly showed in his eyes and he tried to hide it.
"Um I got it from training at home.. I didn't want anyone to ask about it, even though that has a 00.1 percent chance of happening. I covered it up but, I guess I was found out.. Eheh.."
He sounded nervous, and I almost doubted his explanation. Suddenly a breeze flew by us and this scent caught my nose. I subtly sniffed the air, trying to figure out where it came from. Bakugo? No way. He didn't smell like another Alpha. There was no way. It was faint but there.
"Hey Bakugo? Are you... Pregnant?"
