Cassi finishes murdering the possessed inside the canyon pass and rushes back out across the paladin bodies, to find Ami just now standing up... "Where's Lys!!!?" she asks... The girl looks at her feet as she explains apologetically "They took him.."... The General snatches her up! Ami looks scared at the sudden burst of anger emitting from the General... but Cassi drops her and runs off... Meanwhile: A handful of survivors, including Deana and Lys, are taken inside the Saint-Peter Basilica.. The Pope looks them over, and assign punishments according to their sins... one of his private-bodyguards informs him: "Pope Joseph: This blackguy has the mark of the beast, and is said to've brought demons to attack our men during the last mission.". The Pope smiles "I heard of this..." he parts Lys' curly hair "I see: interlocking sixes... destroy him, in the name of the Lord!!!", he commanded! They snatch Lys away to the dungeon:

...there, are the bodies of tortured civilians and deadened-accused people... Joseph and his men go to a spiked coffin and open it, another accused victim falls out... as they then push Lys inside and begin to close the coffin... The Cadet steps back, afraid of the in closing spikes, until the mark bleeds again: MANY evil spirits suddenly pour from the coffin and the floor!!! The men start back to the stairs "Run, Pope!" one says, Joseph scoffed at the tormented faces coming up "Demons! Evil spirits!! Monsters, Begone!!!". They leave the basement... Shortly afterwards: a evacuation signal sounded through the entire Vatican city, causing the paladins to quickly look for a way out: as the ground level exit's already engulfed...
Meanwhile: Cassi, Rosy and Ami walk to the Vatican... "I have a friend inside that'll get sneak us in, that way we can save your friend and get out safely!" the prostitute explains... The General replies "It's gonna be dangerous..". Rosy smirks as she explains: "A friend of mine's in there, too, I hafta go!". Cassi sighs agitated "Alright, just don't get in the way...". Ami thought as they near the walls "I have to make it up to the General..."... They get the Basilica and Rosy shows them a dilapidated-brick-formation going along the wall: They climb up to a window "Excuse me..." she says... a Oldman nears it as Rosy continues: "I know a friend by the name of Tama here.. c..." A darkness leaps over her "(Dammit! What the hell is that guy thinking?!") the prostitute thought as Cassi ran away...
The General sees the line of Paladin marching upstairs and snatches Merry out of it! She puts her to a wall: "Where's the place ya torture the heretics and shit?!" Cassi asks, the Metropolitan replied "I, I won't answer someone like you!!", the General punched through the stone wall "I'm in a hurry!!".. Merry replies in shock "I, it's in the basement... b, but..."... The General stomped away "Dammit, ask someone a question an' they can't even help ya worth a..." she fusses...
Minutes later: she enters the basement and finds only TOO clean skeletons and clothes lying around... Then sees a moving helmet?? "The fuck???" she asks, it flips over and reveals Kai (who was hiding) "General!!" he calls out. Cassi replies "Where is he!?", the fairy replies: "L, Lys is probably upstairs: but be careful: when they tried to kill him, legions of demons oozed out of the floor and started to suck the flesh off people... but they only carried him up with them!". The General glares and heads up stairs...
