Following this woman, I couldn't help but stare in awe. The inside was just as grand as the outside. The front doors lead you into a large staircase in the middle of the foyer that splits off into the different wings of the Manor. I was lead up towards the left wing, where the woman, who introduced herself as Ms. Eghert, showed me to the room I would be staying in for the time I attend school here at Winthrop.
It was a simple room, bare walls, wood floors, and a twin sized bed in the corner. There were two doors, presumably the entrances to the closet and bathroom. I gave Ms. Eghert a polite smile as she informed me classes were finished for the day, so all I had to attend was supper. While I was relieved, I was really hoping to meet some of my teachers. She must have seen the disappointment in my face.
"Perk up, girl. Use your time to unpack. Supper is at 8 sharp," And with that, just as easily as she showed up, she disappeared.
I took her advice, using the good two hours I had making this room mine. My clothes went in the trunk at the foot of my bed, toiletries beside the bath, and uniform in the closet. I didn't see any sort of iron, so I'll just do whatever I can to keep it wrinkle-free.
Unpacking didn't take me too long, maybe a half hour or so. Deciding I was finished, I went to my bed and laid down. A tiny little nap couldn't hurt, right?
