Returning to normal life after fighting monsters is tough; Having a crush on a boy you know will definitely never like you back is tougher. Tali Henderson knew she was crushing on Steve Harrington. She couldn't help it, with his goofy smile and bright eyes—God are boys confusing— because sometimes she swears he's flirting with her and she swears he's gonna ask her out, but it never happens. And from the looks of it, it never will, because to quote Robin Buckley, "Steve Harrington is a dingus".

The summer had been tough for Steve, spending all his days at the Starcourt mall behind the Scoops Ahoy counter was getting to him. Especially when he had to see Tali waltz in on her lunch break practically every day—which is a good thing— but not when the guy from Imperial Panda flirts with her every time she buys lunch for the guys over at Hawkins Community Radio. But she does always stop by Scoops for Rocky Road giving Steve a chance to test out his game at flirting. It's too bad just the sight of Tali these days makes his heart pound and stops any actual words from coming out of his mouth. Good thing he has Robin keeping score to remind him that he does, in fact, suck.
