Final Time || Gary x Reader

|Chapter 5/Turk|

A large ship hovered over the planet Ruxx Cluster in sector 432G, the sounds of people from within the ship could be heard from the local ships and satellites that went past. Inside the ship S.A.M.E.S crowded the hallway all on a mission, a white and yellow robot sung loudly repeating the words "holes and buttholes" as he made his way down the long hallway. A young girl with h/c hair sat at a table, a young boy with blonde hair sat across from her and a man with dark teal fur with a white stroke down the centre of his face sat next to the girl, his hands were cuffed. The blonde haired boy sat in the booth shuffling a deck of cards and dealing them out to the two people across from him, readying another game of cards.

Y/n P.o.v

I sat down at our usual booth, both Avocato and Gary sat with me, as I ate my gross oatmeal that was supplied for me on the ship Gary pulled out a camera, 'he's probably doing his log to that Quinn girl he always talks about' i thought as he started the recording. I sunk lower into my seat, "Quinn" he said in an annoyingly high pitched voice, "its me Gary," I looked at him in disbelief, 'why would he like someone who put him in his prison sentence? I questioned to myself, Mooncake floated over towards me and placed himself on my lap his face covered in concern and confusion. "Things have been great on my end" he continued "I made what I believe to be a potential new friend". Avocato looked towards me his face was stuck with a confused and strange look on his face, I laughed at the Ventrexian, knowing was was about to unfold before us. "Yes, he boarded the ship to kill me and take my little green ball friend, but Avocato is one great card player" Gary said moving the camera to face Avocato, i hid behind Avocato and looked down at Mooncake who was still on my lap. "Anymore cards and I will shoot myself" Avocato said as he knocked the cards that him and I were using, "he's gonna shoot you if you don't play card" I told him as Gary looked at both of us, a hint of jealousy flickered in his beautiful bl- uhhhh... his eyes. "I'll let him shoot me," Avocato retaliated, Gary butted in, "Um, oh -- real -- well, then I'm gonna shoot myself" he said, Avocato and I's eyes opened wide, "What, why?" we said at the both time, " Frickin' figured it out. Figure it out" he said, at this moment Mooncake got off my lap and floated over to Gary, he turned to the camera that was still recording.

"And our newest member is this little guy! His name's Mooncake" Gary said, Mooncake moved into the frame to look at the camera, he made a soft 'woo' as he floated towards Avocato and I, "everyone loves him" Gary explained. Avocato huffed, Gary moved the camera to face Avocato, I hid again from the shoot.  "That little green snot-ball is a planet-destroying super-weapon that's gonna get us killed" I looked up at Gary, he leant over the table towards Avocato and put his finger close to his face, "You, sir, just stepped over the line" Gary explained as he raised his other hand and smacked Avocato across the face. I flinched, Avocato's eyes widened as a small 'meow' came from him, 'I'm starting to wonder if Avocato is actually a cat or man or bot, i have no clue' I thought, "Mooncake has feeling and you just peed all over them with your cat whiz," Gary said, his voice became lower. Gary sat back down and turned the camera towards his face and looked into the lens, "Yep.
Things have been going pretty great." Gary explained, "Get back to me. No rush. It's just that I haven't talked to another human lady person in, like, five years." He said, i felt sad that he had to ask a girl that he had met five years ago for less than 5 minutes to get back to him, and yet here I was sitting across from him not being asked or talked to, I sighed, "Well, yours forever. Thunder bandit!" he said and sent it to the girl, "Message sent" he said, I felt Avocato's eyes look at me, he could tell that I was upset but he didn't push, it was like we had been friends for a long time and we knew what was wrong. "I crushed it AGAIN!" Gary said, that was it, i got up from where I was sitting and climbed over Avocato and stormed out of the main lobby towards my room.

Gary's P.o.v

I watched y/n as she walked out of the room in a hurry, I felt a wave of sadness wash over me, I knew the reason why she stormed out was because of me but I had no idea why, 'was it because she didn't like Quinn, was it because she didn't want to be  videoed?' I questioned. I sat back down on the booth and sighed, Avocato looked at me, he blew his checks up and breathed out loudly, "you messed up," he said, i looked up from the table, "I know but why?" I asked him, he lent over the table  towards me, "maybe because she likes you," he suggested, I looked up "why would she like me?" I asked, a small pause settled over us, "I don't know," Avocato said, "just a feeling,". I thought about what Avocato said, 'does she like me, would she want to like me,' my mind was cluttered with questions that I didn't realise that Mooncake had left my side. H.U.E's voice rang over the speakers, "Unauthorized scan detected" it said as a small drone like camera, scaneed Mooncake, I walked over to inspect it and just as I reached the drone, KVN had made his way over to the dining room, "what ya doing Gary?" he asked, i think quickly and grabbed KVN by the body and smashed him into the drone multiple times to destroy it. I threw KVN away and jump around the metal object the camera was still in tacked so I picked it up to examine it, y/n ran into the room came to a halt when she saw the destroyed drone, "what the heck is that thing?" she asked, Avocato spoke up and walked into the room with us, "A Ventrexian stealth probe" he bent down and looked at the probe as well, "Turk" he continued, I looked into the camera and copy "Of course, Turk,". I looked up to see y/n staring at the both of us confusingly, "who the hell is Turk?" she asked as she sat down at the table in the middle of the room, Avocato faced he and explained, "A bounty hunter -- like me.
If he scanned Mooncake, he'll be on his way back to the Lord Commander to gather reinforcements".

Both y/n and I looked at each other, we hummed at the same time, Avocato continued to explain, "Unless we stop him first." Y/n and I hummed again "Mm-hmm" "It we don't, they will capture Mooncake." Avocato told us, his voice getting more intense by the second, y/n and I hummed again, "Mnh-mnh", "And take us to the Dark Zone". To be honest the dark zone sounded kind of cool, y/n hummed once again "Mnh-mnh". "And torture us with zargon slugs". 'Now i'm not so sure about that' I thought, "Mnh-mnh" I mumbled under my breath, "we're gonna suffer pain and anguish for eternity" y/n's bright eyes opened wide, looking at Avocato like he was on drugs, "Oh" I said taking the words out of y/n's head, "And the only way to stop them is with salt." Avocato's voice was deep and dark, "Oh" y/n said looking at the destruction on the floor, Avocato's voice became deep and ended his rant, "And there's no salt in the Dark Zone". Y/n and I looked at each other, she got up from her seat and walked over to us, "looks like we got these buttery bun in a hot vise, how do I stop them?" I asked looking at Avocato for information, It was silent for a couple of seconds until Avocato broke the silence, "you don't, but together we have a shot, get me out of these cuffs and we'll go after him."

I looked towards y/n who was looking through her pockets in her uniform, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, cowboy! You tried to kill me. If you want me to trust you, first we clasp" I explained, both Avocato and y/n glanced at me, "I am NOT doing that," Avocato told me. I retaliated, "Oh, yes, you will" I further explained why, "We've enjoyed recreational card together, THIS is the next step, A hand-to-hand bond that forges the completion of a newfound trust". Avocato stared at me with a disappointed look, "We don't have to get balls to the wind naked, do we?" He asked, y/n walked toward Avocato, with a key in her hand to unlock the cuffs, "you bounce me i'll kill you," she joked with a hard tone, as the cuffs dropped from Avocato's wrists into y/n's hands, "just shake his hand and let's go," she said impatiently, I grabbed Avocato's hand and shook it, "trust mode engaged" I said while walking towards the table, "ok here's what we need," Avocato said as we sat down, "Guns" he said, "is that it?" I asked, y/n's eyes lit up with passion, "yep, that's it," he said, y/n ran out of the room, both Avocato and I waited for y/n to get back, after a few minutes, she walked into the doorway, she was deck out with guns on her metal belt and a few in her hands, her h/c hair was tied into a tight ponytail, I stared at her, 'she looks sooooo hot,' I thought. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Avocato's foot coming into contact with my shin, "your staring," he said to me quietly. I look down at the floor a crimson wash spread over my face. "Let's get this son-of-a-bitch" she said handing Avocato's gun that the S.A.M.E.S took from him when he first got on the Galaxy One, " Avocato and I get up from our spots, loading out guns and running down the hallway toward the tiger's nest, getting ready to leave and take down thing 'Turk' guy.
