As Eleanor was getting ready in the morning, the door to the attic busted open. There Bella Swan stood dressed ready for the day. 

"Hurray up! I want to take you to meet some people." Bella said actually showing excitement for once. 

"Why so excited?" Eleanor questioned. "I thought I wasn't meeting Edwards family until next week when you are ungrounded?" 

"We are not going to see Edward and his family. I want to introduce you to my friends down at LaPush. I think you will really like one of them." Bella winked. For the longest time Eleanor could remember Bella had always tried to get her together with someone. Bella always though that Eleanor deserved to be happy due to what happened with her old relationship. Bella left to let Eleanor finish getting ready. Once Eleanor finished applying her mascara she grabbed her rain coat and went downstairs. As she walked into the kitchen she saw Bella standing their with a cup of coffee in her hands. 

"I made it just the way you like it. Lots of cream and no sugar. Come one let's go." Bella said excitedly as she grabbed Eleanors arm and dragged her out of the house. The two girls got into Bella's truck. 

"You know I could've drove. No offense but my car is nicer." Eleanor said with a little sass in her voice. 

"Hey don't hate the truck."The two girls laughed. As Bella pulled out of the driveway, Eleanor couldn't help but look at the beauty for Forks. Eleanor always had a love for nature. She did not mind the cold or the rain. She was just happy to be in the moment with her childhood best friend who has been there for her in her moments of need. 

"Hey I've been meaning to ask you, where's Nick now?" Bella asked about Eleanors brother who was stationed overseas. 

"I think Germany now. He's been moving around a lot. Last month he was in Italy. I think he told my mom that he will be going back to Italy after Germany." Eleanor said. Bella couldn't help but tense up when Eleanor brought up Italy. 

"Do you know where in Italy?" 

"No. I mean he's told me but I can't remember." The girls contunied to talk as they made there way to LaPush. As they pulled up to a one story house Eleanor saw a group of guys run out. One go the guys ran over to the truck. 

"Bella." He said as Bella got out and hugged him. "Finally got away from your boyfriend I see." Eleanor got out of the truck and walked around to stand next to Bella. 

"Yes I did." Bella said as she let out a laugh. "This is Eleanor. Eleanor this is Jacob Black." 

"Hi. It's nice to meet you. Bella has told me a lot about you." Jacob said as he shook hands with Eleanor. "The rest of the guys are over here. Come on." He said as he jogged over to the rest of the guys. Eleanor saw that there was seven other guys standing there. "Guys this is Eleanor who Bella told us about." 

"Hi." Eleanor mumbled shyly. She was given a bunch of different greetings. Eleanor couldn't make out all of it. She looked over and saw one guy staring at her intensely. Eleanor couldn't help but feel out of place here. 

"Hi Eleanor, I'm Sam. Bella has not stopped talking about you since you said you would come." A voice said which brought her out of her daze. The guy in front of her stood above her. Due to her standing at five foot four, these guys towered over her. 

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." Eleanor replied hoping that you could not tell at how nervous she was. 

"So how long will you be here?" Sam asked trying to make conversation. 

"I actually don't know. How ever Charlie will let me." Eleanor said. Her and Sam chuckled. 

"Guys, food!" A voice yelled coming from inside the house. All the guys ran inside leaving Sam, Bella and Eleanor standing there. 

"I hope your hungry my fiancé made pancakes." Sam said as he walked into the house. 

"Come on El." Bella said as she pulled her friend along.

"Are you sure, I don't want to intrude on them." Eleanor said uneasy. 

"It's fine. Come on, you still have to meet Emily." The two girls walked into the house. As they walked in they could hear the shouts coming from the boys who were all sitting at the table eating. Eleanor saw a women standing with her back turned towards the door. As she turned she saw that she has scars running down her face. Eleanor knew better than to stare and ask what happened. 

"Bella hi! This must be Eleanor." The women said walking up to the two girls. "I'm Emily. Sam's fiancé." 

"Hi." Eleanor said. "It smells good in here." 

"Thank you. Come in sit down. Eat something before these punks eat all of it." 

"Hey we are not punks, we are just men with appiters. Hi I'm Jared." A guy said as his mouth was full of food. 

"Chew with your mouth closed. I know you're mother tought you manners." Emily said as she hit Jared in the back of the head, teaseinly. Eleanor saw that Bella went to sit down next to Jacob. The only sit left was next to the guy who was staring at her earlier. Eleanor slowly made her way next to him. As she sat down she grabbed a pancake and started to eat it. 

"You eat pancakes without surup?" A voice next to her asked. 

"Well usually no, but I don't want to look like an idiot in front of everyone. Surpue is very messy. 

"Good. If you don't use surupe on pancakes then I consider them a monster." The guy said. "By the way I'm Paul." He said as he held out his hand for Eleanor to shake. 

"Eleanor."

"Sorry about staring at you earlier. It's just I thought you looked beautiful." 

"Stright to the point I see." Eleanor laughed out. 

"Well life is too short to not be. But you are. Beautiful I mean." 

"Why thank you." Eleanor said. "You're not too bad yourself." 

"Well blondie I can already tell this is going to be a great friendship." Paul said as he stuffed his face full of pancakes. 

"Not if you keep eating like that."
