Human ~~Demetri Volturi

Today was the day. Today was the day that the Cullens and the pack go to war with Victoria and her newborn army. Eleanor was terrified. She didn't know what would happen. She hoped that no one would get hurt. 

"Bella." Eleanor said as she walked into Bellas room. "What should I pack for the camping trip?" She asked. She knew that the cover story for Charlie was that Bella was going camping with Edwards family. 

"Umm. You haven't been told yet have you?" Eleanor looked at Bella confused. "It's too dangerous for you to come with. I thought you would be safer staying with Emily. Your scent would be hidden by the pack." 

"What about you? You won't be safe!" Eleanor yelled at Bella. She wanted to be where the fight was. She wanted to make sure her friends were safe. Eleanor hated feeling weak. That she couldn't do anything. 

"El. I can't have you in danger. This is my fight. You came here to see me graduate. Not save me from problems that I created in my past." Bella said. She knew that Eleanor was upset but Bella couldn't put her in danger. Eleanor never asked for this life, Bella did. "Paul will be here soon. He will take you to Emily's and make sure that you are safe." Eleanor sighed. She knew Bella was right. 

"Fine. But call as soon as the fight is over and everyone is safe." Eleanor pulled Bella into a hug. "And please don't die." Bella laughed. Suddenly the doorbell rang. 

"Go get your stuff. Paul's here." Eleanor ran upstairs and grabbed her school bag. She figured that doing school work could keep her mind off the fight that would be happening. After she grabbed her bag she ran down the stairs and ran into Pauls arm. 

"Monkey!" She yelled as Paul caught  her. He laughed. 

"You ready?" Paul asked as he put Eleanor down. She nodded. Before they left, Eleanor tuned back to Bella. 

"Please stay safe." She mumbled as she pulled Bella into a hug. Bella nodded. "See you soon." Eleanor said as Bella closed the door.

"So you promise to call once it's over?" Eleanor asked Paul as he dropped her off at Sam's and Emily's. 

"Yes. I have told you a thousand times yes." Paul said. He knew that Eleanor was scared. "All of us will be alright. Okay? I promise." Eleanor nodded as tears filled her eyes. "Now go. Have fun with Emily." Eleanor watched as Paul shifted into his wolf and ran off into the woods. Eleanor walked up to the door waiting for Emily to answer. 

"Eleanor! It's good to see you again. I do wish it was under better circumstances. Come in! Come in!" Eleanor smiled at Emily. 

"Thank you for letting me stay here."

"Of course! You are always welcomed here. Now I know you are freaking out as much as me so let's get on mind off things. I started baking. Would you like to help me?" Emily asked. 

"I would love too!" The two women walked into the kitchen. Eleanor and Emily were having fun together making cookies for when the guys and Leah get home. It did help get both of their minds off the situation at hand but she couldn't help but once in a while think about it. 

"So we made six dozen cookies. Do you think that's enough?" Both of them laughed knowing the answer. It definitely was not enough. So they went back to making more.

"Edward. They are coming! They need to leave!" Alice yelled. Carlisle turned to Sam. 

"Get Jacob somewhere safe. I will be there as soon as I can." Sam nodded to the eldest vampire there. The pack carefully lifted Jacob up and headed back towards his house. 

"Bella. Get behind me." Edward ordered. They knew that the Volturi guards were almost here. Bella wasn't going to lie. She was scared. She knew how powerful the Volturi were. As Bella looked over Edwards shoulder, she saw four figures in black cloaks walking towards them. 

"Impressive." Jane said as the four of them stopped infront of the Cullen's. "Never seen a coven face these many vampires and survive. 

"We were lucky." Carlisle said. 

"I doubt that." 

"It appears we missed an entertaining fight." Alec said smirking. 

"Yes. It seems that we are not needed." 

"If you arrived a half hour ago, you would have fulfilled your purpose." Edward said, glaring at the four guards that stood in front of him. 

"Pity." Janes eyes then looked at Bree, the vampire the Cullen's were going to take under their wing. "You missed one." Jasper knew what was going to happen. He walked over to the young vampire, hoping that they would not hurt her. 

"We offered her asylum if she surrendered." Carlisle told the guards. 

"That wasn't yours to offer." Jane started yelling at the poor girl but Demetri wasn't paying any attention. He kept looking at Bella. There was a rather interesting smell coming from her. Some smell he never noticed before. Edward froze, reading his thoughts. He knew once they left, they would have to get to Eleanor as fast as they could. He just prayed that she did not step foot out of La Push.

"Are you sure you want to leave?" Emily asked Eleanor who was grabbing her bag. 

"Yes. Jacob needs you right now, I dont want to be a burden here. Just please call me when he's okay for me to see." 

"Of course. Where will you go?" 

"To the library in Seattle. It's the closest library around that has this World War II book that I need. I'll text you when I get there if that makes you feel better." Eleanor said as she walked to her car that Paul drove over when he dropped her off. 

"Please do. I'll let the pack know where you went. Have fun and be safe!" 

"Of course. See you later Em!" Eleanor said as she hugged Emily. After Eleanor drove away, Emily  went back into the house. She started making a care package for Jacob. After about thirty minutes, the house phone rang. 

"Hello?" She said as she answered the phone. 

"Emily? It's Edward. Is Eleanor there?" 

"Uhh. No. She left about a half hour ago." Emily said into the phone. 

"Where did she go?" Edward demanded. 

"To the library in Seattle. Why what's wrong?" 

"Emmett, she's headed for Seattle. Hurry. Emily please listen to me. The Volturi were here. Demetri smelled Eleanor on Bella. We think he knows." Emily's heart dropped. Since the day Alice had her vision, they did everything in their power to keep her safe with out her knowing it. 

"Edward I'm so sorry. If I knew that he was he, I would never have let her leave." 

"Emily. It's okay. Go to Jacob. Emmett is on his way to her. She can't be far. I will keep you updated." 

"Thank you Edward." Emily hung up the phone after they said their goodbyes. Emily now had something else to worry about. She was worried about Eleanor. She just hoped Emmett got to her in time.

This story just hit 1k reads! Are you serious?! When I began this story I never thought it would get this many reads. I wrote this story because I felt that there was not many Demetri story so I decided to create my own. Thank you all so much for reading. It means so much to me! I hope you all enjoyed chapter ten.
