Your name was (y/n) (l/n) and currently you where living an absolute nightmare. Posters and statues of his face around every corner, screaming fans at every path, his music blaring whenever you tried to think! You hated every second of this "vacation".
Your sister had been the lucky winner of a contest done months ago for a free suite booked at a hotel for a Nick Lightbearer convention along with being able to bring one free guest, and out of all her friends she decided to bring along the one that hated Mr pickles the most, her Nick despising brother (y/n).
"Oh lighten up (y/n) this is a wonderful thing to be experiencing! Out of all those fans I was the lucky one!" Your sister said cheerfully.
"Why not bring Lucy or Polly or abagale with you?! God I can still hear all those women gawking from down stairs!" You whined stuffing your face into a pillow in attempts to block the noise.
"You're being dramatic! Everyone loves Nick, if you weren't my brother I'd think of you as some sort of downer in disguise!" She said picking out a dress to put on for today's list of events.
"Not everyone.... I swear these girls are giving me such a headache-" before you could say anything more a high pitched scream was heard from down stairs and followed by many more loud joyous shrieks. That was it. You have had it.
You gave a roar of anger and marched to the door, stomping your way over and furiously grabbing the handle before shouting "SHUTTTT UP ALREADY, IM BLOODY TIRED OF YOUR SCREAMING" you said with anger before slamming the door.
"What are you trying to get us kicked out?! You better hope none of the Bobby's heard that!" Your sister said grabbing you by your shoulder and sitting you down. "If you're so upset then pop a joy and take a walk outside, maybe even a drink at the bar will do you some good".
"And have to go past all those fans?-"
"It's not a suggestion..." she said putting a joy capsule in your hand and pushing you back out the door "and don't forget there's a performance later at six!" "But I-" "SIX, Don't be late!" She said before taking her turn at slamming the door and locking you out the room.
You gave a bitter huff, having nothing else to do you downed the strawberry flavored pill and wandered down stairs after picking up a free cup of coffee.
You watched as rabid fans pushed against the Bobby's to try and get to Nicks room with no avail. You rolled your eyes at how ridiculous it was to watch them all fond over the junkie superstar because he sang a song or two, you walked past the crowds looking around at the gift shops selling Lightbearer themed items, you couldn't help but wander inside out of curiosity, you gazed at the shirts and dolls and posters and nicknacks of all sorts with nicks image in mind for them, but you had to admit something did catch your eye.
An electric guitar resembling the one Nick used was up on display on a shelf. It was shiny and new looking, you weren't the best at guitar but you couldn't help but imagine playing a nice tune to pass the time on it.
"How much for the guitar?..." you asked the cashier pointing at the display.
"That old thing? I'll give it to you for 50 coins"
"Why so cheap?..." "The fans much rather have the real deal you know? Things that nick as actually signed, touched, and played, it's been sitting there for a long while now, most guitars are props now seeing as most fans can't actually play without summoning Lucifer himself, better to find someone that will actually use it"
You considered for a moment before giving a nod and paying for the display guitar, the cashier gave a pleased grin and took it off the rack for you "still good as new, treat it well" you nodded and headed out the store now traveling outside through the back of the hotel into the gardens. You gazed around, it was empty and quiet just how you liked, you sat down on a near by bench and tuned the guitar before trying it out, you gave a smile as the notes made gentle music, you ran your fingers across the strings before humming a tune to yourself to match.
"Hey I know that song" Said a passerby, you instantly stopped, strumming a sour note and looking at the approaching figure.
Needless to say you where unimpressed, it was a Nick fan, dressed head to toe in Nick attire, you had to admit it was a well done cosplay but you simply gave a huff in their direction.
"That's one of my old songs" said the "fan" taking a seat next to you "you mean one of Nicks old songs..." you corrected but he shook his head.
"Nah, I'm the real deal love, although I suppose I blend in pretty well among these other oh so dashing Nicks don't I?"
"Or just a really good impressionist, pretty sure the real Nick is too busy shagging his fans and getting wasted to be walking around, I'm not a fan..." you scoffed.
"So I see... yet you were still humming one of my songs weren't you?"
Your face flustered "Just because something is catchy doesn't mean it's good... I still hate the guy" you said gripping the guitar.
"Oh yeah? And why's that? Even the most stubborn of birds flock to me eventually~" said the Nick moving closer.
"I just can't stand him alright?... and don't call me that, I don't tweet and beg for crumbs like all these other love struck morons, I'm only hear because my sister dragged me along" you explained. "Fine fine, but I will get you to like me eventually you know" "yeah sure man..." you said trying to think of something else to play.
"That last note was a bit rough around the strings, let me help you" He said taking out his own guitar to play.
You watched as the Nick strummed the notes almost perfectly to play something, the notes were like magic almost.
"You're pretty good for a faker..." you said following along with his strumming.
"Will you be attending this evenings show?"
"I don't think I have much of a choice"
"Then I'll be sure to be on the look out for you in the crowed~" he said charmingly. You had to admit this was strangely fun, it was getting difficult to tell if this actually was a fake or not.
The two of you played for a couple minutes, he taught you some things and you gradually grew a bit friendlier.
"Well love looks like I need to get going, gotta be in best shape for my performance" he said with a wink.
"Oh right... well uh good luck with that.." you said a bit disappointed.
"Don't worry love, look here" he said handing you what seemed like a ticket.
"Front seat?..." you asked looking at the pass "just so I can be sure I'll see my least biggest fan tonight" he smiled, ruffling your hair a bit before walking back to the hotel.
You rolled your eyes and fixed your hair before doing the same, heading back up to the room holding the ticket close.
"Did you clear up your mind already? I figured you'd be out longer" Said your sister as you entered the thankfully unlocked room.
"Clear as a sunny day" you said in an almost sarcastic tone. "What's with the guitar? Fallen under the spell of Nick Lightbearer now have we?"
You shook your head "I just thought it looked nice is all" she gave a curious tilt of her head and looked at your clutched hand "what's that?" You nonchalantly looked at your hand, too casually and couldn't stop the first words from pouring out your mouth "It's a ticke-... Nothing! It's nothing!"
"(Y/n)! I'm surprised at you, where did you stumble across a ticket like that at this time?" She pondered curiously while trying to grab it from you "Does it matter?! Drop it! It's mine!" You said climbing onto the table to get away from her "You don't even like Nick! You say it all the time! Unless you do" your face grew flustered "My friend gave it to me- I-it'd be r-rude not to use it is all..." you tried to explain only to receive an eye role "fine fine, keep your secrets, I still have our normal tickets if you ever want to swap".
You gave a sigh of relief and hopped off the table, the show was still an hour or two away but you'd figured you'd at least try to look presentable while hiding away in the Nick crazed crowd.*Time skippp*
You where showered and dressed, you and your sister had left and gone to the stage where Nick would be preforming, plenty of fans already out and about and finding your seats. You gave your sister a wave before traveling to your exclusive seat further upfront, you were actually kinda nervous... of what? What for? Well you weren't sure your self as you sat an moved around uncomfortably in your seat, even while sitting down you felt like a fool.
Eventually though the lights dimmed and the stage lights brightened. An announcer came up to the stage and gave a thankfully quick speech of sorts before finally giving introduction to the one and only Nick Lightbearer.((Huh- been a long while since I've rwritten anything here- maybe I'll finish this chapter, I'd like to, I still love the game but I'm not as into it as I used to, this story is actually an old draft but I'd figure I'd post it since it isn't too bad for a one shot))
