Explanation:
Creating quirks is pretty simple, just lay out the details in full and boom. You can use the quirk. However, for every quirk created an opposite is made. (For example. You create a light quirk, you get a darkness/shadow quirk too).
Now, the multiple traitonality thing. It's kinda like what Thomas sanders does by splitting his personality into traits. When you switch the quirk you have it emphasizes a certain emotion or personality trait kinda. If the maker has a really strong emotion it may switch their quirk in the middle of a fight.
I also have a head cannon where they have a supppper dark quirk/side. And the maker has a hard time trying not to get too angry/sad because it switches to the dark quirk which is pretty uncontrollable.
