"Ginny! Ginny! This way Ginny!" shouted the various photographers that were standing behind the railings, each one of them trying to get my attention as I made my way down the star-studded red carpet.
"Smile for the camera sweetheart, you look stunning!" Their compliments made my smile widen. "Can you give us a twirl? We want to see the back of your dress."
I was surprised I could hear a single word they were saying considering the noise coming from behind me. Every time a celebrity got out of their car the fans would lose their minds and start screaming like banshees.
I did a slow 360 turn so that the photographers could get a good picture of the back of my stylish dress, then I blew them a kiss and giggled.
"We love you Ginny!" shouted one of the girls in the crowd of fans.
I turned to her and waved which sent her into a frenzy, it was so good to be back on the carpet after such a long break. It had only been a year but it felt longer, way too long.
I wanted to take a picture with them but they were too far and well I couldn't risk getting pulled by the fans, they tended to get a little rowdy at times.
I turned forward again and continued making my way down the carpet, stopping every five steps to pose for pictures.
"That's beautiful Ginny!" the photographers praised, making me giggle more. "Just one more shot, a side one," they pleaded and because I was in a good mood and didn't feel like being a complete ass to them I turned to my side and they snapped away.
They snapped to the point where I was nearly blinded.
"Okay enough," I said shaking my head. "Thank you guys."
I headed to the first reporter to do the first interview of the night, it was Giuliana Rancic from the E! Network, my favourite place to get my daily celebrity gossip.
She had a big smile on her face and the minute she spotted me making my way towards her it widened. "Hello Giuliana!"
"Ginny! Hello!" she exclaimed pulling me in for a hug, she made sure not to smudge both our make-up of course. "How are you? I feel like we haven't see you on the carpet for a while."
"I'm good, I'm feeling great," I smiled. "How are you?"
"I'm good, good. You look fantastic, wow... stunning," she looked down at my outfit, she was much taller than me. "Who are you wearing tonight?"
"Uh," I looked down at my dress.
It was a short dress that showed off my lean legs, I knew that some people were going to judge me for wearing something so short but it covered what it needed to cover which was the only important thing.
It was a black velvet dress which had a super low back, long sleeves and clung onto my thin frame.
"I think its Ivy Porter, I was in such a hurry getting dressed I didn't check the designer. Do you want to help me?"
I turned around so that Giuliana could check the label of the dress.
"Ivy Porter."
I turned to her.
"It looks great on you. Who are your accessories by?"
"I can honestly say that I don't know, I'll get someone to tell me and I'll tweet it," I chuckled.
"We're loving the whole look."
"You better not say otherwise on Fashion Police tomorrow night," I said in a mock warning voice. "Just so you know Joan Rivers," I said looking into the camera. "I'm still a little upset about the comment you made about my outfit the last time."
