Armin walked with Eren up to the large doors of Trost High, a soft sigh escaping his slightly parted lips. Eren had cleaned Armin up, though the after taste of blood still danced upon his tongue; fowl and unpleasant.
Eren looked over at Armin as they headed inside. His hair was pale almost white, and as the sun brushed it an iridescent glow omitted through the blonde mane, sparkling like a running stream. His eyes were like sapphires, shimmering, shining, glistening with life. The brunette could have looked at him all day, though he soon noticed Armin's eyebrows furrow together in confusion and blinked once or twice.
"So I guess I'll see you at luch?" Eren remarked, raising a single eybrow.
Armin nodded, a small smile curving onto his lips. "Yeah... I'll see you then Eren."
And with that they went their seperate ways, though a slight pink discolored the blonde's otherwise pale complexion. Why had Eren looked at him like that? Armin shook his head.
It meant nothing.
He kept telling himself, though he kept getting an odd feeling in the pit of his stomach. Pushing those thoughts aside he continued walking down the crowded halls, pushing his way through the sea of students. As he walked one guy elbowed him, causing Armin to yelp. He looked up to see a familiar face. Erwin Smith. He was one of the football players, making him popular. He looked down at Armin, snickering in that same way he always did."Hey look, it's that one girl that always hangs around Eren!" Erwin said loudly, causing several of the people in his 'group' to laugh. Armin's eyes immediatley drifted to the floor, his hands trembling ever so slightly as they balled into fists.
"Oh. My bad. I mistaked you for a girl. I bet you get that a lot." Almost everyone in the hall had stopped at this point, trying to contain their laughter. Though Armin on the other hand didn't find it funny at all. This had happened too often. He was done tolerating it.
Armin's eyes soon met those of Erwin's, a grin creeping it's way onto his face.
"Ah, well at least my eyebrows aren't bigger than my own dick." Erwin's eyes widened at Armin's clever remark, and all of the students around them errupted in laighter.
"YOU FAGGOT!" Erwin yelled, and grabbed the blonde by the collar, slamming him into the wall, hard. A sharp pain shot up Armin's back, tears forming in the corner's of his eyes. Erwin then let loose several punches onto Armin's face, pinning the smaller boy to the wall by his collar. He finished off with a final kick in the blonde's gut and soon the halls cleared out, along with Erwin, leaving the beaten and broken boy all alone. No one bothered to help him, but he was used to that by now.
"I-It's... it's not fair..." Slow desolate tears began to run from his unblinking eyes, dripping steadily onto his hoodie as he uttered the same thing repeatedly. His lips began to quiver, a sob soon catching in his throat. Though he contained it to his best ability,
Slowy standing up, he stared at the ground with red, tear-rimmed eyes, watery streaks falling down his pale face. He soon approached first period, though before he went inside he straightened his seemingly caotic ponytail, wiping the tears away with his sleeves, but there was nothing he could do about his bruised up face.
"I guess life just isn't fair..." Armin whispered, before turning the doorhandle and walking inside.
