The plane was shot down and landed on an island. I searched for other survivors and then I heard a strange sound. My name is Jamie and I am 14 I go to a school that is only for boys and yet, I'm qualified enough to go there. My heart jumped as I looked around a palm tree, there were so many boys. In my mind, I was saying nope, nope, nope. I wanted to go back to where I found myself on the island and forget all those boys. Then just as I was going to turn around I saw a dark-haired boy that seemed really strange to me. There were others like a blonde-haired boy that seemed really nice, and a red-headed boy that I recognized from somewhere, I just can't seem to recall it.
As I was thinking to myself all the boys started to take notice that I was watching. Soon I came to my senses that I was being watched. " What is everyone looking at!!!???" I screamed. The blonde replied, " Nothing, just how did you get here? Also my name is Ralph, what is your name?" " My name is Jamie, and I go to a school that is all boys, so yeah." The boys started to introduce themselves one by one but the names that I could remember were; Ralph, Simon, Piggy, Jack, and Roger. They were all very nice, but some seemed unsteady that I was there.
" Hey guys, I'm going to explore the island and get to work on a shelter of some sort." "Okay." They all reply in unison. As I explore the island I saw places that could not be able to be described in words. I noticed that I was being followed, it was Jack and Ralph. " Seriously dudes, you had to follow me instead of just asking if you could come!" They didn't know that I knew they were following me. They jumped in surprise, "Oh we thought that you would like some company, heh." " Yeah, no thanks I'm good, I can handle things myself." I stated plainly as I walked away from them with a wink.
I walked around some more and found a mountain. I climbed it to see if it really was an island. As I looked from where I stood on the mountain and OH MY GOSH! It was such a wonderful veiw. I ran back as fast as my legs would go and zoomed past Jack and Ralph where they were when I left to go explore some more. Soon I had to stop and just breathe. Soon the boys caught up to me, and I could tell by the way they were heavily breathing that they were out of breath. " I can carry one of you to were everyone first met." Ralph was fine with it Jack not so much. Jack wanted to prove that he could make it by himself but he failed, he just made me laugh.
Once we were back to the origimal meet up spot I told everyone that we were on an actual island and that I was so excited to explore. Everyone else seemed to afraid of the island, I told them not to worry and that I would get supplies for them. Roger wanted to help me and sure I let him do some of the work, but I made sure that I got the harder job. I gathered wood as he gathered some small branches to make a fire for warmth and light when it gets dark.
I found one of the shoes that I was wearing and used it to make a hammer. I also found some hard pieces to nail the pieces of wood together. "Roger can you take those branches to the others?" 'Um, okay." As Roger takes the branches back to the others I get working on a stable shelter for the time being.

"Hey Roger." "Hi Jamie, what is that?!" "Oh, it is the shelter that I made for everyone. It looks like crap but it'll do for now..." "It does not look like crap, to me at least..." "Thanks Roger." It looks like he needs a hug, I thought to myself. I made up my mind, I hugged Roger because it didn't look like anyone has ever cared about him before. When I pulled back from the hug he just held on. "No. Thank you Jamie." " For what?" " For being my friend." " Your welcome." We walked back to the place where everyone else was, but instead of him being shy and awkward he was making jokes and getting me to laugh.
When we got back, Jack and Ralph had already told the others that we were the only ones on the island. I thought about making a suggestion, and since no one knew my thinker face I was not expecting Roger to be looking at me with a concerned expression. " Are you okay?" " Yeah I'm fine, why do you ask?" " You had a strange look on your face." "Oh I was just thinking." "Okay."
I decided to make the comment. "Should we have someone in charge, to look after us. We are the only ones on the island but, we should take care of each other." The boys around me agreed, and we took a vote an who would be in charge. Hmmmm.... I thought who seemed to be responsible enough to be in charge or the 'chief' as the boys called it. "Okay! who wants Jack to be chief?, Now who wants Ralph to be chief?, and I'm just curious who wants me to be chief?" The boys raised their hands for Jack and Ralph but, when I said 'me' everyone raised their hand including Jack, which doesn't seem like his thing.
"Okay...Is everyone sure they want me as your leader?" "YES!!!" They all shouted in unison, "Well I guess it is settled I'm chief." I spotted the most beautiful shell that was in the water, carefully and with great caution, I gently lifted the precious thing out of the water and placed it on the hot sand. Sudenly I remembered that I had to show everyone what I did in the woods.
"C'mon everyone I have to show you something!" I bounced up and down excitedly then rushed with the shell close to my chest to the shelter that I had made and looked at it with pride. Oncce everyone got caught up with me I said,"Hey this is where we are going to be when night falls, but I am going to be on the mountain. You guys should get some rest, you all look very weary and worn out." The littluns started into the shelter but the bigger kids stayed with me. " Now everyone else." I said with a kind smile. Everyone was in the shelter sleeping so peacfully, I turned to go to the mountain to find Roger and Simon still there. " You guys should really be in the shelter." "We know but we wanted to go with you to help." "Oh, Okay then."
I walkeed faster than both of them combined, to be honest though it was kinda funny to see them always trying to catch up. I giggled to myself at this thought. " What is so funny?" they asked, "Oh nothing." I said slyly. As I walked I gathered some branches and two stickd that looked perfect to start the signal fire with. When we reached the mountain top they boys just sat down and started to breathe heavily. I laughed at the sight of them having to catch their breath. After my laugh attack I started to make the tent of branches. I grabbed the two stick and rubbed them together until I saw a little bit of smoke. I gently blew creating a small fire, then I shouted over to the boys, "Guys I need you to find me some rocks to put around this area so the fire doesn't spread all over this mountain." They got up and brought me the rocks that they had found on the mountain. "Thanks." I said. I sat there by the fire for about two minutes then I started back down the mountain with the boys struggling to keep up with me. "Hey wait up!" the shouted, I stopped and climbed a tree while I waited for them. When they reached where I was I came down from the tree and we walked the rest of the way to the shelter I had made.
"Guys." I said," It is getting kinda late and you look tired from having to keep up with me." "Yeah." they said, "We are tired, goodnight Jamie." "Goodnight you guys." I winked at them before they went inside the shelter. I made myself a small shelter beside theirs and go to bed.
