Eighteen

Ashley's POV:

Well today is the day that we find out what we're having! Yesterday was such I wonderful surprise, having my husband back is just great. I'm so glad that he finally came around and realized that he will be a good Dad. I found out last night that Joe canceled the rest of the tour just so he could have time to take care of me and the baby inside, that is the sweetest thing ever! I do know one thing though and that's that last night I had the best nights sleep ever, Joe held me close to him like if to say that "I won't leave you ever again." That was the best night I have had in months. Okay so like I said earlier today we go to Doctor Kelly's and I will get an ultrasound to find out what the gender of our bundle of joy is. "Are you excited?" Jill asked smiling as she was getting me up and dressed. "Yea and nervous." I admited smiling. "Let me go get Joe." Jill said smiling and exiting the room after I was dressed and all ready for the day. "Morning my beautiful Princess!" Joe said smiling and coming in the room. "Morning my Prince!" I said with a smile. He then bent down and gave me a hug then a gentle kiss, then he carefully placed me in my wheelchair. I always thought that this wouldn't be safe for the baby, but Doctor Kelly explained that the baby is protected and me still getting picked up like this wouldn't cause any harm. We went downstairs to catch up with Aby and Nick. "Knock! Knock!" "Joe could you get that please." Aby said to Joe as she was busy cooking with the help of Nick. "No problemo Sis!" Joe said leaving the kitchen and going get the door. "So Sis are you excited?" Nick asked smiling at me while tending to the pan of bacon on the stove. "Of course she is!" Aby answered for me smiling while cracking the eggs and scrambling them, then asked me. "So Ash what are you and Bubby hoping for?" "We are okay with whatever God gives us as long as it's heathy." I answered smiling. "We understand that but they have to be one gender that your hoping more for." Nick said. "Well we both wouldn't mind a little girl." I said smiling. "Yep that sounds like you." Aby said smiling. "And Joe. After Lena was born that's all that boy talked about, was that one day he wanted a Daughter himself." Nick said smiling. 

Soon Joe returns to the kitchen with the guests that were at the door. "KEV! DANI! LENA!" Me, Nick and Aby yelled. "I didn't go to school yesterday or today so I could see Aunt Ashley's baby in her tummy!" Alena said smiling. "What?" I asked confused yet smiling. "We heard about your ultrasound to find out the baby's gender was today." Danielle started. "Yea a little birdy told us." Kevin said winking at Aby. I just turned to her and laughed, I caught on and knew that Aby was behind this. Then Kevin finished. "We took a flight from Jersey yesterday and then got a hotel, we came to be with you when you find out." "That's sweet! Thanks guys!" I said smiling. "BREAKFAST IS READY!" Aby called out. "THE SLOP IS ON!" Nick yelled. "NICHOLAS!" Everybody yelled at him for calling Aby's food slop. He just shook his head and blew us off. We all sat and started to eat breakfast. "Joe go to the house and get my pickles, please." I told my husband. "What? Do I have to?" He huffed. "Yea! We don't live like down the road, we only live upstairs." I answered sarcastically. "Look Joe don't worry about it, we have some down here." Aby explained as Nick went and got the pickles. "Thanks Nick and Aby!" I said smiling then I told Joe. "I want it on my eggs." "Pickles and eggs? Gross!" Joe said while he put pickles in my eggs. "That dear Joe is called pregnant food." Danielle explained laughing. "Ash has been always craving pickles with everything." Aby explained for me while I was eatting. "I know that you love pickles sweetheart but do you have to eat them with everything?" Joe asked sweetly and smiling. I nodded, smiled and said. "I crave them all the time." Soon we were finished with breakfast and was getting our jackets on to leave. "Knock! Knock! Knock!" "Someone's at the door!" I said as Joe was putting on my jacket. Nick walked to the door and answered it. To my surprise My In-Laws walked inside smiling. "Mama and Papa Jonas!" I said smiling. "Hey sweetheart!" Mama Jonas said sweetly and hugging me. "Good morning Ash!" Papa Jonas said smiling and giving me a hug next. 

They made their rounds around the room, all the way to a excited Alena yelling for them. "So, Mom, Dad what brings you to our lovely house?" Joe asked them. "We heard that today you and Ashley find out the baby's gender, we want to be there." Mama Jonas said smiling. "Aw thank yall!" I said sweetly and smiling. "We should get going everybody." Aby suggested to everybody. "Kevin, Dani and Alena you three can ride in the van with Ash and Joe." Nick explained then added. "Mom and Dad you two can ride in the car with me and Aby." We all went outside and got in the vehicles, our van is huge so we were able to fit everybody comfortable. "Ready?" Joe asked smiling before backing out of the driveway. "Yep!" I answered smiling. "Do you have everything?" Joe asked. "Yep!" I answered nodding. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes Joseph." I answered. "Alright! Now we're off!" He said as he backed out of the driveway. That drive was the longest fifteen minutes ride of my life. Once we finally got there we all got down out of the vehicles and went inside. Everybody took a seat in the waiting area except for me and Joe, we went to the desk to check in the Doctors. "Ashley Jonas." I told the lady behind the desk behind a glass window. "Her appointment is at ten." Joe explained to her. "Alright! Just take a seat there in the waiting room." She told us. We went and took places in the waiting area. "Oh my friend McKi is meeting us here!" I explained to everybody. "Okay." Joe said. "The other girls are coming too! I gave them off for this." Aby explained smiling. Soon everybody was here and we were started talking about the baby. "We're mostly wanting a girl." Joe explained. "I just hope that they are heathy." I explained. "ASHLEY JONAS!" A Nurse came in the waiting room and called after awhile. "Everybody wait in here for right now and I'll send Joe to come get yall when it's ultrasound time." I explained to everybody. We then followed the Nurse into a room and then waited for Doctor Kelly. "Hey guys!" Doctor Kelly said as she entered the room asking. "How are you two?" "Alright." We answered. "Great!" She said smiling. Joe then placed me on the exam table and dressed me in a hospital gown, Doctor Kelly then examined me the way that she needed. Once she was finished Joe got me dressed and back in my wheelchair. "Now it's ultrasound time. Are you excited?" Doctor Kelly said and asked. "Yea we are." Joe answered smiling. "I'll go get a Nurse to show you to the ultrasound room." Doctor Kelly said smiling. She then walked off out of the room, minutes later a Nurse entered the room. We then followed her to the ultrasound room. Joe then laid me on the ultrasound exam bed, then he said to me and the Tech. "I will be back, I'm going get the others and put your chair out in the hall." I nodded and smiled. He smiled back, he then took my wheelchair and left the room. 

I just sat in silence for what felt like minutes upon minutes until Joe finally returned with everybody. Joe came on the left of me right by my head, everybody else just gathered around with the Tech and monitor to the right by my head. Joe carefuling picked up my shirt for the Tech, Joe didn't like the idea much that the Tech was a man. "This is going to be cold." The guy said putting the gel on my stomach. I jumpped a bit because of the coldness. He began rubbing that wand thing across the gel on my stomach. "There's the baby!" The Tech said smiling pointing out. "There's a arm, the other arm, the head, a leg and the other leg." Everybody was smiling and awwing. "Would you like to know the gender?" He asked me and Joe. "Yes please." We answered smiling. "Alright! Lets take a look." He said looking at the screen. We all got quiet for a moment. "IT'S A GIRL!" He yelled smiling. Everybody cheered and screamed. "CONGRADULATIONS!" "We have a Daughter." I said tearing up and smiling. "I guess I can't call you my Princess anymore, I have to call you my Queen." Joe said smiling. "I have a feeling that she will be a Daddy's girl." Aby said hugging on Nick and smiling. The Tech played the heart beat of the baby for us to hear.
