Rosemarie walked by herself to Derry's local pharmacy. Some people stared at her while others pretended she didn't exist. Rosemaries poofy hair bounced with each step she took. She was pretty. Though she was pretty she was not socially excepted. The reason being she had milk chocolate skin and thick cotton like hair.
Rosemarie got up from her seat in her room."Today is a nice day." Rosemarie said out loud to no one.
She quietly walked downstairs hoping to not alert her big brother but sadly luck was not on her side.
"Hey baby sister. Where ya going too?" Martin said in an enthusiastic voice.
Martin was over bearing, clingy, and over protective. If his little Rosie sneezes he'd take her to the doctors. If she bumped into something he'd over react and seam her bed ridden. Yes Rosemarie was clumsy but at times her brother was just... over the top.
"I'm heading out to read!" Rosemarie replies.
"You could read at home! Come on! We can play board games, watch television, or we could bake. I don't want you out There with those heathens! What if you run into that Henry kid or even worse. Patrick!" Martin yelled.
"Besides. Yesterday you kept sneezing. Your still sick. Going out their in that dress would only make it worse sweetie!"
Martin threw his arms around his tiny sister. He tried multiple times to convince her to stay home. He frowned when his sister walked out the house. He watched her walk away until she was out of view.
She walked into the pharmacy to buy a cheap picnic blanket because her old one had been thrown in the river by the towns local future juniper hills resident Henry Bowers. Rosemarie decided that today was a nice day to enjoy herself by finding a nice place in the forest to read and enjoy her blueberry muffins. After she paid for it she walked out of the store with her picnic blanket and picnic
basket in tow. She walked for around twenty minutes before rewatching the forest edge. She stopped and checked to see if anyone was watching before going in.She soon found her favorite spot. A pretty willow tree. She laid down the blanket then sat down. Her frilly baby blue dress moved a little revealing her legs. She read her book To kill a Mockingbird. A book the school had banned. She grabbed a muffin and ate as she read. She was in her own little world of litterateur. Rosemarie loves her books. They took her away from her overly attached brother and her bullies and this overall mean town.
Henry Bowers, Patrick Hockstetter, Belch Huggins, and Victor Criss all stalked about in the woods. Henry managed to get them kicked out of the Diner again. Belch was upset because he couldn't get a burger like he had wanted. Patrick was ammused because he had been the reason Henry lost his shit. Victor was very uncomfortable. Mainly because he was kinda freaked out at how little it takes to piss Henry off.
Henry then stoped causing victor to bump into him in accident.
"Sorry dude." Victor said while looking at the distracted male in front of him.
"Looks like we caught ourselves that uppity nigger girl from school!"
The gang looked in the direction Henry started and saw Rosemarie Lane from school.
Patrick's eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning. He noticed that she was so engrossed with her book that she didn't notice her little audience.
"I'm gonna fucking cut that nigger up!" Henry growled.
Rosemarie Didn't realize her situation until her book was forcibly removed by Henry Bowers. The young girls eyes widened in horror as she saw his evil gaze. Her fear only got worse when she felt someone sit down next to her.
