The group of hunters glared at the nightmarish wolf named Sif, and it did so back, both waiting for the others first move. Within seconds the wolf leapt forward at an almost impossible speed. The group of teachers and students split up in different directions, Coco farther away while firing at the wolf to divert attention, Oobleck doing the same but at a closer position, Yatsuhashi went for any openings in the legs in order to hinder its speed, and Glynd threw any close by rocks, trees and other objects in the area at the wolf in order to stop it from attacking Yatsuhashi, and possibly disorientate it. They all moved whenever it did, and tried to stay alive while stopping this beast. Finally reinforcements came, but they were partly surprised that it was only ozpin followed by Velvet, but mostly questionable about the extremely massive object he was dragging on the ground. It was a giant sword with part of its hilt broken off, and one edge of its blade severely eroded. The beast stopped suddenly and just stared at the massive weapon, the students and Oobleck backing away quickly, readying themselves. Glynda was the closest to talk to him, "Ozpin, where are the rest of our reinforcements, and what is that?"

"While Ms. Scarlatina was speaking to me via scroll, she spoke about a weapon used by an Artorias person. This stupidly heavy sword has the same name etched on its blade, so I thought it might be useful. Sadly, it is far too heavy for me to use properly, so i hope it wouldn't be too much to ask for your help." Ozpin gave a faint smile and Glynda returned the expression. Using here semblance, she lifted the great sword from his grasp. Even though it looked like it was putting some strain on her abilities, she was able to swing it a couple times in the air. The great Abyssal wolf new of this weapon from his transformation. It was meant for the abyssal creatures death. The nightmarish hound crouched low, and leapt forward at immense speed, but with one downward swing from the seemingly blunt blade cleaved the beast in half from head to tail.

"WOO!! WE DID IT!!" Coco yelled in excitement. That is, until black tendrils came from each half, pulling the beast back together.as the broken body repaired itself, a second head tore free from its neck with no eyes, only massive protruding jaws filled with razor sharp teeth. The group once again began their attack/defence. "Dr. Oobleck!" Ozpin yelled from across the clearing. "Have any bright ideas?!"

"Possibly! It seems that the only logical option that is possible at this point in time is to find and destroy its original body, which is most likely move constantly throughout its outer body!" he responded as Coco and Yatsuhashi were hacking and firing away at the monster to try and keep its attention away from Glynda. "SPEAK ENGLISH!!" Glynda yelled over the sound of claws smacking against metal. "Cut it apart as much as possible!" Oobleck yelled back. And so she did, shoving the monster back, and slicing it apart until all that was left were slivers of black flesh, and the smoking corps of a dead beowulf in the middle.

"Well, since whatever that was is now dead, we should return and rest, then figure out exactly what we are fighting." Everyone agreed, and the left for beacon.

Earlier before-

Two figures walked through the forest, one of a skeletal nature, and the other with more of a human appearance, except for the barbed tale under his coat. Tyrian listened to the Darkwraiths stories of his world, and the way it came to be. Of course, as any other, Tyrian didn't believe most of what it said, but after a few hours of walking with the Darkwraith, and pondering over what he has seen, he decided "Why the heck not." and proceed to believe whatever came out of the Darkwraiths mouth. If you were to see the two yourself, that is if they didn't kill you first, the strange pair would seem like the best of friends, due to their almost unstoppable chit chat, and in Tyrians eyes, they were, but for the Darkwraith friendship is useless, and the only important matter is spreading the Abyss.

They boarded an airship on the coast, and left for the Grimms domain. For the Darkwraith, the airship seemed to be a strange building of some sort, but when it began to levitate, nightmarish memories of elevators filled his head. In short, even though the transport didn't move all that much, the Darkwraith stumbled about and tried to grab anything in sight to keep himself upright.
