"Sometimes it's better to not know."
Leona was relieved to finally be back somewhere she actually felt comfortable.
Don't get her wrong, she loved Fowler's cabin in the woods, but she felt more at home at the Autobot base than she did anywhere else. It was odd.
And it probably didn’t help that her sleep was filled with weird images, mostly of a strange scene where two bodies lay on the floor, covered in blood. The man had claw marks on his chest while the woman had a knife inbedded in her chest.
Leona shook the image away again as it entered her mind.
"Are you okay, Leona?" Raf asked, his brown eyes worried from behind his glasses.
Leona nodded, "Yeah, just daydreaming."
If Leona's senses weren't as sharp as they were, she probably wouldn't have noticed how - not that she had been watching him unconsciously from the corner of her eye at all - Ironhide seemed to pick up on the lie that she had uttered.
"Okay," Raf smiled, unnoticed of the most obvious lie in all of history that had just been spoken to him.
Leona gave the younger boy a puzzled look, "Say… where's your friends?"
Raf blinked up from his laptop, confusion in his eyes before they widened in understanding, "Miko's in detention - again - and Jack's finishing his shift at KnockOut," he paused at her even more confused look on her face, "it's a fast food restaurant that's rather popular here in Jasper."
"Oh," Leona nodded, letting the information sink in, "Um, what's "fast food"?"
Raf almost gaped at her, until he realized, just how much of her memory had been lost, "It is what it is fast, unhealthy food that most people like better than making - healthy - food at home," he explained.
Leona's nose wrinkled as she remembered the scent from the blue eyed boy, she didn't know which scents were the "fast food" but there was something about his smell that she definitely didn't like, "And Jack works there?" She asked, tilting her head in confusion.
