When she was younger, her dad used to tell her stories of a mythical world that existed on Saturn. He used to tell her all about the people, how they were very beautiful, with all different shades of brown skin and hair that were all different shades and hues of blue. He told her of the city that they lived in, beautiful, like themselves, and majestic. He said that it looked like the entire city was made of silver and glowing blue gems, all sparkling in the light.
She listened to these stories with fascination and awe, and never got tired of hearing them. She would beg him to tell her about the city and the people almost every night. Her mother always told her that the stories were not real and that her dad was making them up to awe her. She never believed her mother. When she was 7, her dad promised her that when she was older, he'd take her up to the city and she would be able to see it for herself.
He never got the chance. When she was 8, her mother packed up their bags and left with her, leaving her dad. She never got any explanation as to why they left, but she never saw him after that. Her and her mother moved from Seattle, Washington to Orlando, Florida without ever knowing why. She tried to get her mother to tell her why they left and why she couldn't see her dad, but every time she asked her mother would change the subject, or just refuse to tell her. This went on until she was 15 before she finally gave up and stopped asking.
5 years later, 20 year old Arielle Evans moves back to Seattle to find out why her mother left with her so suddenly, and to find her father.

Hi, I'm Flare.
This is my first book so welcome. I know that its terrible so far, and it's just the prologue but i'm going to try and make it less stupid going on. Who knows, someone might actually decide to not immediately hate it and give it a try. Chapter one will be going up at the same time as this chapter.
Enjoy.
