Arielle woke up to the sound of the alarm on her phone, and rolled over to turn it off. She realized that she was in an unfamiliar place and was trying to figure out how she got there. She remembered that she was in a hotel in Denver, Colorado, and she had a flight to catch at 1:30 to Seattle, Washington, which left her 2 and a half hours to get ready, pack all her things, and head to the airport.
She quickly got up and immediately went to take a shower. When she was done, she began to get her things together. She checked her phone to see if her mother realized she was gone yet, and halfway across the country. She only had a email from the college she was heading to in Seattle.
Arielle got her things, making sure to check for anything she might have misplaced, and left the hotel room. She went downstairs and waited for the shuttle that would take her to the airport. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the shuttle arrived and she got her luggage and went on. The ride took around 25 minutes and was generally calm. She sat around the middle of the shuttle and noticed that there was a couple that looked like they were in their late 30's, a mother with her young child , and a few other passengers.
When the shuttle got to the airport, Arielle got her luggage, checked in, and went through security, which took around 30 minutes all together. When she got out of security, she checked her watch and realized she had roughly an hour before she could board her flight. She decided to get some food and wait by the gate. She looked around while she ate and saw that there were not much other people at the gate yet. She figured that most people wouldn't show up for another half an hour so she played on her phone while she waited. An hour passed and they began boarding so she put her phone away and took out her boarding pass. After she got that checked she boarded the plane. Once everyone boarded and took their seats, the pilot took off. She figured that since she had 3 hours, she would listen to music for the time she was on board.

When she got off the plane, she checked the email she got from her college, which told her that they would have a bus taking her from the airport to the dorms. She took her luggage and headed outside to look for the bus. After looking for a few minutes, she found the bus with her college's name on it. Arielle put her luggage in the area designated for luggage and boarded the bus. She sat in the back, where she could see most of the people boarding.
The ride lasted about an hour, because the bus went to other airports and train stations in the area. There was only about 25 people on the bus. She listened to music during the ride, which was very calming for her. Arielle was a little nervous about going to college here, since she did her bachelor's degree in Orlando. She was here not only to find her father, but also to get her master's degree in the arts.
When they got to the dorms she was feeling a lot calmer. She got her luggage and went to the office to check in and find out her dorm number. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice, and after giving her the dorm key and directions on how to get to her dorm, she told Arielle that if she needed any help settling in, or directions to somewhere, she could come to her.
After she left the office Arielle began to look for her dorm. The woman at the front, whose name was Molly, had told her that her dorm was on the fourth floor, so that's where she headed. She began to look for her room number, which was 415, and after a few minutes of walking around in circles, she found it. She opened the door and turned on the lights, there were two rooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette.
She figured that she had a roommate, seeing as there were two rooms. That wouldn't be a problem for her, seeing as she's had roommates in the past and was fine with it. Arielle chose a room and brought her luggage to it. She took out her laptop and searched up her school, finding out that orientation was tomorrow. By this time it was around 5:00, so she decided to order some food and, since she was exhausted, go to bed early. Her food arrived at around 6 and she ate most of it, so she put the rest in the fridge and headed to the shower.
After her shower, she brushed her teeth and just went to bed. She fell asleep almost as soon as her head touched the pillow.
