31st of October
It's been a little over a month since Chloe and I met Calpurnia and she is still talking about it. The weird part is even though I don't say anything about it I haven't been able to stop thinking about Finn. I don't think about him 24/7 but he's always at the back of my mind. I really hope Chloe's obsession isn't rubbing off on me!
Anyway it's Halloween tonight and Chloe and I are gonna do what we do every year:
Buy loads of junk food and stay up all night watching comedies! Yeah u heard me comedies. Neither of us really like horror movies ( well Chloe likes it but that's only cause Finn is in it)
I ring Chloes doorbell and she opens immediately.
"Izzy change of plans! Brandon just asked me on a date!!" she says.
"Tonight? Chloe come on this is tradition!" I say pointing at all the junk food.
"Izzy pleaaaaseee he's invited us to a dress up party at this amazing bar downtown!"
"US? No he's invited you!"
"Yeah but I'm not going without you!" she says.
First Calpurnia now this.
"Fine! I'll go! But I don't even have a costume!"
"Leave that to me!" she says and rushes into her bedroom.
She comes out a minute later with a Cinderella costume. Yeah Cinderella glass slippers and all.
"I am NOT wearing that!" I say.
"Oh come on it would look gorgeous on you!" she insists.
In the end I agree to wear the costume but manly because I just want to get this party over with as soon as possible.
When we arrive and walk in there's this loud music playing and loads of people on the dance floor.
"Omg there is Brandon!" squeals Chloe.
"Go get him girl! I'll be at the bar if you need me!"
I sit at the bar and order a chocolate milkshake (this is a bar for teens so no alcohol obviously). The chairs on either side of me are empty which is fine by me cause I don't really fancy socializing tonight. And literally while I'm thinking this someone sits down next to me and as I really don't wanna a talk to anyone I avoid eye contact.
"Can I have a strawberry milkshake please?" I hear him ask and I recognise the voice so I turn around to see who it is and I can't believe it.
