Sarah quickly picked up her first peg and chucked it down, ignoring the burning sensation. One after the other she drank as the crowd cheered them on.
After her fourth glass, Sarah noticed the crowd chanting, "Sarah! Sarah!" with Katie and Sam, who now stood beside Katie, leading them.
She continued downing the liquid. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Noah doing the same. The liquid was starting to slow down her movements now. On her eighth peg, she did the mistake of breathing and drinking at the same time as violent coughing overtook her. She tried to down her other two glasses but the crowd was already whooping and cheering Noah, who had finished. He was breathing heavily.
Sarah took a deep breath to control her coughing. She glanced around to see Katie and Sam giving her sympathising looks. She groaned aloud and pouted, feeling bad for her own stupidity.
Katie came over to her and said, "Hey, it's okay. You were clearly ahead of him and would have won had you not coughed."
"Mmm... Hmm," Sarah said, slightly dizzy to feel too bad. She glanced at Noah who was smirking at her. He drank the water someone passed him before coming over to her.
"So, I get to kiss whomever I want," he said, still smirking. His eyes were slightly unfocused due to the effects of the drink.
Sarah huffed. "Yeah yeah," she said, glancing at the crowd.
The girls were all too excited to be one Noah chooses to kiss. They can't help it, he was a looker.
Sam had his arm around his girlfriend as if to signal that she was off- bounds. The guys were all coming and patting Noah's back and congratulating him on the win. Majority of the crowd had dispersed back on the dance floor.
Noah glanced around as the girls cheered. He glanced back at Sarah, and leaning down, pressed his lips against hers.
Sarah was too shocked to reciprocate. She was the girl he chose to kiss? When he could have had any of those beauties around them. The girls all groaned as he kissed her, irritated at not being the one to kiss him.
Smiling, he pulled back. "There, I got my prize," he said, smirking again. Sarah was still too dazed to reply. She registered Katie screaming something in the background.
Noah sauntered back to where the boys were standing. Mark clasped him at the back and pulled him in some sort of bro-hug. Katie nearly fell over Sarah.
"Oh My God! He kissed you before the party ended!! I won! Hey Mark, you hear me buddy? You owe me ten bucks," she screamed over to him. Sarah, in her drunken state, could only stare at Katie, trying to comprehend what her best friend was going on about.
"What bet?" she asked dizzily.
"I bet that you guys would kiss before the party ended to which he bet against, and clearly, I won," she said, already making her way over to Mark, twirling and laughing at her victory.
Sarah smirked and rolled her eyes. She glanced around the beach looking at the bodies grinding against each other on the dance floor. She glanced around at her friends laughing at chatting and saw Noah glance her way more than once.
"One vodka shot for me!" she hollered to the bartender, who presented her her drink. Picking it up and drowning it in one go, she got up and making her way over to her friends, screamed, "Let's party!"

Groaning at the growing headache, Sarah reached over to remove the heavy pillow surrounding her. As she touched it, instead of the softness of cloth, she felt hot, rough skin under her fingers. Wait what? Skin?
