Different

Part 2

With the whole class staring at me with their mouths wide open I only looked at them and had said, "Are you going to close your mouth or are you going to catch flies?" the rest of the class closed their mouths along with the teacher and stayed quiet before the teacher started to speak. " Well that was something, well done Ozin" I simply nodded and  walked back to my space the teacher started to see everyone else's transformations. After they had all transformed, we all went back to our original forms and left. Well for our next class atleast. History as for one I enjoyed it, learning about the wars and the previous heirs. The lesson went by fairly quickly. Then came lunch, it wasn't as difficult then I thought it was gonna be, each year has their own  area. Sitting in the assigned area for our year a student from my class walked up to me with their lunch in hand. They stopped in front of me, this student looked normal to a human but I am able to see what they really are so thats cool I guess.
"Hi, I'm Basan." he says with a smile " Can I sit with you for lunch?" I nod in response and he sits down, and before I could ask him about the school he speaks again, " you look human compared to most of us yet you have powers how's that?" I couldn't leave him without an answer and so I just said, " Thats because both of my parents are human unlike yours as im guessing that your parents are both centaurs or only one of them are at least." he stares at me blankly, "yeah, both of my parents are centaurs. You know its strange coming to a school like this and seeing other mythical beings that parents would tell their young that they are fake, and now knowing the truth its kind of amazing you know." I 'hmm' in agreement, I did think that when I stepped into the class for the first time, I only thought that they where only in my imagination and when my mother had told me that I was going to school with them I was defiantly surprised, I had thought that I was only different because of my eyes and that made me being left out of most things, here its not like that, I was able to show my real self minus my other power cause you know safety, but without that I can be me for well, ME.
"Earth to Ozin, you good there pal. You spaced out." shaking my head and slightly smiling. "yeah im good Bas. Sorry I was just thinking, anyways we gotta go, class is about to start." Basan nods and clears away his  lunch with me following and we start heading to our next class, which was P.E im surprised they even care about our physical appearance. As soon as Basan and I make it to the gym I can already see everyone from my previous classes here already, I look over at Basan to see him already walking over to the benches and I quickly jog to catch up. "I have a quick question if you dont mind me asking." I look over at Basan giving him a nod and my attention, "If both of your parents are human, how did you even know you had any powers or that mythical creatures exists?" I stood there thinking on what to say and before I could reply our P.E  teacher had entered, "Hello everyone and welcome back, Im hoping you have all met our knew student because I wont be doing any introductions. But just so you know my name, I am Mr. Brises." He had said before going on to explain what we were doing in the lesson, which was an obstacle course. I take a quick look at the other students and they dont look to pleased about it, so I guess its not only me that doesn't like anything that involves too much movement. "now get changed and meet me outside on the field." He says before leaving towards some doors on the far end of the gym. Everyone gets up and heads to the changing rooms, this shouldn't take me long. 

I finish changing and towards the doors to go outside before hearing Basan calling my name, I turn around and slow my pace down. "you didn't answer my question before" He is right, I should tell him "I had only found out mythical creatures exists a few months ago when my mother introduced me to some of her friends and thats also when I found out about my magic when they had pointed it out" I explain, he opens the doors and goes through with me following "So does everyone that has two different eye colours have powers then?" he asked before shaking my head and going to reply, "No, having heterochromia is rare on its own but having it and powers that are related to them are even rarer and I just happen to be born with both." he nods as to say he understood what I meant. "Can I ask you another question?" I just nod in response. "Does that mean all humans have magic?" He says with a questioning tone. "Not all of them there are some that do but not all. Remember how I had told you that my parents are human." he does a quick nod "They are the only ones I know that doesn't have any magic" I say finishing of my answer and him saying 'ahh' in response, we had then made it to the field where the teacher and some of the class are waiting. After a few minutes the rest make it outside with the rest of us and Mr. Brises tells us to warmup before making us start the course, this is what we did for the whole class taking breaks every now and then with the whole meaning was to meet the time that we got previously. 
When class is done with we got changed back into our original clothes before going to our next class, which turns out to be when the day went by quickly and soon turning into home time.
