Three years later, a package with a letter attached showed up on Zayn's lawn. It was covered in stamps, showing it had been looking for him for quite a while. The letter read:

"Dear Zayn

I told you that if there was something after death, that I would contact you. I ordered this package to be sent when I died. If there is an afterlife, I would've stopped this package from reaching you.

I'm sorry.

But actually, it's a win-win situation. If this package does not arrive at your destination after my passing, then I will be stopping by for a visit, maybe some tea, maybe a kiss or a thousand. But if this package does arrive, then you get what's inside. We are both sensations to the vision, the taste, the touch, and the smell.

As long as you get to smile at receiving this package, then I am only gone from myself, and not from you.

I am so sorry I couldn't stop this package.

But I'll try to get one for next month.

Remember to love yourself for me.

Love, Hope Malik"

Inside was three packs of chocolate-covered cherries.
