Ro was an outsider. I actually hadn't even noticed her until the day Bryan had got dared to talk to her. When Bryan started to talk to her I noticed he was starting to get mad. I walked over just in time to see him throw food at her, chanting her full name. I couldn't believe what he was doing so I just stood there, shell shocked that others had begun chanting and throwing their food too. My ex-boyfriend, Carter, was trying to get them to stop. Carter was kind like that, even though she wasn't popular, he knew she didn't deserve that. Mrs. Everend eventually separated the group. She sent Bryan and five other people to the front office. Carter looked angry, but he just walked away. Since prom was only two weeks away, I probably didn't have enough time to get a date, since me and Carter broke up. Ro went home, which is fair. What those people did just disgusted me. Thinking about being on the place of Ro, I just couldn't imagine. After school, before he left, I went up to Carter.
"You know what you were trying to do for Ro was very nice," I told him lamely. "Well, she didn't do anything to deserve that," he responded, utter seriousness across his face. I took a moment to appreciate the kindness in some people, unlike the people like Bryan.
"We should really do something to cheer her up tomorrow." I said looking into his eyes, my arms crossed.
"Like what?" he asked.
"I don't know, something simple." I responded.
"Why don't we just hang out with her, seems simple enough," he said, his blue eyes brightening a bit.
"Okay," I said, smiling. His blonde hair was swooped out of his face. He walked away as I started going towards my car.
