Ochaco smiled, happy to just be busy with something. She had left her mind to drift all too much in the past few days, University stress soon came to mind, but so did a flash of green along with the faint smell of chocolate. Ochaco started to scrub harder forcing the thoughts out of her mind as she groaned quietly.

Ding!

The chime above the door always signaled the entrance of a newcomer to the café, but whenever he walked in, it sounded different somehow. Gentle like a mother's caring whispers to her shivering child, and so light, almost as if nothing had disturbed the small bells at all.

Whenever Deku, Izuku her mind corrected, walked in, he invited the smell of chocolate, along with the warmth of an oven. Izuku's soft mess of green hair bounced as he walked in, waving at the short brunette.

"Oh um, h-hey Uraraka!" He flashed his dorky signature smile. Ochaco nearly melted on the spot.

The green haired teen was someone she knew from her University, them both being first years, they got along perfectly. It also helped that they shared a couple classes together, and ever since he found out she worked at a café he started visiting really often. Oblivious Ochaco however couldn't figure out why.

"Hey De-- Izuku! Do you want your usual?" Ochaco asked reaching toward the espresso machine. Usually she was able to figure out exactly what someone's preferred drink was just from their personality. Izuku always seemed like a hot chocolate sort of person. Which is why it came as a shock to her whenever he asked for three shots of espresso without any sugar or cream.

"Hmm, actually, I don't know, I think I'll have a hot chocolate today?" Izuku scratched the back of his neck, he hadn't really thought about what to order. He honestly just wanted to visit his friend, but she had once said he seemed like someone who'd like hot chocolate, so why not give it a shot?

Ochaco smiled and headed over to heat up some milk, before stopping mid-step, "Wait a minute, who are you and what have you done with Izuku?" There was a smile in her words, but her face seemed totally serious, before it melted into a playful expression as she stuck out her tongue at him.

"W-Well, I just thought I'd try it?" Izuku shrugged and smiled at her, before taking a seat at a barstool in front of the main counter. Ochaco just sighed and laughed as she went to heat up a mug of milk. The brunette hummed as walked over to the kitchen in the back to grab some hot chocolate packets from the cupboards.

"S-So, how has work been?" Izuku asked, rapping his knuckles on the smooth wooden counter-top.

"Oh, well it's been kinda slow, but I assume that'll change pretty soon when rush-hour starts," Ochaco had already made her way back to the microwave and had begun pouring hot chocolate mix into the now warm mug.

"Mm, yeah probably, s-so, uh, you could say, that um, we have the café to ourselves?" He asked, immediately breaking eye-contact with Ochaco.

"Hmm, I guess so!" Ochaco tapped her chin in thought before realizing the girl she shared her shift with, Mina, was already on her lunch break, meaning she was basically alone with Deku. The brunette's normally pink cheeks became even darker as she handed him his mug. Coincidentally he was also reaching for it, and without enough time to let go, their hands touched.

Izuku immediately pulled back his hand, a light blush dusted his cheeks and ears, and Ochaco nearly dropped the mug before placing it on the table timidly. The green-haired boy then reached for the mug again while Ochaco exited from behind the counter and went to sit next to him on a bar stool.

The two then sat together in an uneasy silence as Izuku quietly drank his hot chocolate.

"You were right," Izuku murmured as he put down the mug, breaking the silence.

"Hmm?" Ochaco looked up confusion in her eyes.

"You were right about me probably liking hot chocolate," He repeated taking another sip.

"What do you mean? Have you never had hot chocolate before?" Ochaco gasped and her face contorted into a shocked expression, "what did you drink when you were cold"

"Well my mom likes to bake, so she gave me a lot of cake and sweets as a kid," that's why he always smells like chocolate, Ochaco realized, "but she would always give me milk instead [of hot chocolate] because hot chocolate would be too sweet all at once, which she was right, it is too sweet to have cake with--" Ochaco tapped his shoulder as a way to tell him he had begun rambling, so he finished with a; "that and I didn't think I'd like it."

Ochaco blinked up at him, again giving him another shocked expression, before it melted into a more playful one, "Well you were wrong I guess, but who was right?"

Izuku groaned, but there was a smile on his face, "Youuuu....," he stretched out the vowel making it sound more like a whine.

"And who's always right?" She asked again a smug smile on her face.

"Youuuuu," he repeated with a small sigh, attempting to hide the obvious laughter he was trying to contain.

"And don't you ever forget it!" She smiled at him, before booping his nose. Izuku smiled at her and his face lit up as he laughed. His eyes were closed and his cheeks were dusted with pink behind his freckles. Ochaco smiled back at him, putting her hand up to her mouth to stifle her giggles.

The mug of hot chocolate was back on the counter, this time it was empty, Izuku looked over at her dejectedly, he didn't want to leave yet, but he didn't want to make it seem like he had an ulterior motive for visiting the café. Ochaco immediately understood and got up to put the cup into the dishwasher. However when she returned, the bell has chimed again and Izuku was gone. Leaving a couple dollar bills in his place.
