Ochaco hummed quietly as she handed out espressos, latté's, and cappicinnos too different customers. It was rush hour now and Mina was back from her lunch break.
Mina's curly pink hair bounced while she worked, humming the same tune as Ochaco (it was the café's little jingle that played in between songs). Mina was a year older than Ochaco, and had dropped out of their local community college earlier that same year. While Ochaco only worked at the café as a side job, Mina planned to climb the ranks and one day manage the place.
"Sooo, I saw that cute green-haired boy, oh what was his name, hm, Deku, right?" Mina paused looking back to Ochaco for conformation. Immediately the brunette made a face, she knew Izuku wasn't comfortable being called Deku, or so she thought.
"No, it's actually Izuku, Deku's the rude nickname Bakuhoe calls him," Ochaco replied flatly, not looking up from her work. Mina couldn't see her facial expression but could tell Ochaco was pissed. Hearing about Bakugo from Izuku, and seeing his downcast face when he talked about him always made her blood boil.
"Right, sorry, I saw Izuku walk out of the café on the way back from my lunch break~" Mina wiggled her eyebrows teasingly.
Ochaco groaned and rolled her eyes, although a light blush crept up to her naturally pink cheeks, "H-He was only here for a hot chocolate," she muttered.
"Really? Hmm, he seemed so sad when I saw him, like someone had kicked his puppy or something, you sure he didn't want to, oh I don't know, spend time with you or anything?~"
"W-What?! Mina no way! It's not like that at all!" Ochaco waved her arms out in front of her to enunciate her words. Mina gave her a sly smirk but didn't press any further.

Hours, and a about 3 dozen orders later, Ochaco's shift had come to an end. She sighed and hung up her apron before heading toward the door wherein Mina was waiting for her so they could head home together. The pinknette lived in the same apartment as Ochaco, so they frequently walked home together.
While humming Mina looked over at the unsuspecting brunette next to her with a sly smirk coloring her features.
"Sooo.., are we going to talk about the blushing elephant in the room?" Mina tapped the brunette's shoulder. Ochaco immediately tensed up before a light blush colored her naturally flushed face.
"I-I have no idea what you're talking about," Her voice cracked and she stuttered, but Ochaco still hoped her tone was still somewhat serious. Or at least a little convincing. Mina sighed, exasperated, before flailing her arms up in the air.
"Just. Ask. Him. Out. Oh my god it's not that harddd," Mina elongated the end making it sound like a whine. "It's clear that he maybe, probably, definitely, has a crush on you. The boy literally hasn't stopped visiting since he found out you work here, and from what you've told me he hangs out with you a lot at school."
Ochaco's face went from a light pink to a dark crimson. "Ohmygodnoooooo," she hid her face behind her hands, and a feeling of weightlessness overtook her body. Ochaco had to quickly look down to make sure she was still on the ground.
"Oh my, GOD!" Mina's face began to glow as she smiled brightly, "you totally like him don't you?!" Mina let out a fake gasp, pretending to be shocked, and clasped her hand over her still smiling mouth.
Ochaco stopped dead in her tracks, she considered telling Mina off. However she knew that would only make things worse. Besides did she like Izuku? He was sweet sure, and Ochaco did feel lighter than air when he was around, but that didn't mean she liked him. No way.
Mina just smiled as she passed by her, tapping her shoulder to let her know the pinkette had moved on. Ochaco just sighed, her face was still kissed with a light pink hue, as she looked over at Mina. The pink haired girl just had a knowing look in her eye, which pissed off the brunette to no end.

Ochaco sighed, the events of earlier just wouldn't stop replaying in her mind. Did she like Izuku? Finally she decided to grab her phone and maybe distract herself from her internal struggles. However Ochaco soon found herself in her phone app with her finger hovering over the 'call' button. The contact photo immediately tipped her off as to who her heart wanted her to call, she didn't even need to check the contact name. She did anyway.
Tsuyu Asui
Ochaco sighed, Tsu had helped her through many a struggle, but she wasn't sure she should even call the kind, straightforward, girl. However before she knows it a soft ringing sound begins to emanate from the device.
Ring
Ring
Ring
"Ochaco?" Her voice was as raspy as it always is, "is something wrong?" She paused, "is it that boy? The green haired one?" Ochaco immediately cursed under her breath. She hadn't talked to Tsu about Izuku at all. However they all went to the same school, and Tsu wasn't blind.
"Whaaaaat-- nooooo," Tsu sighed, even through the phone, Ochaco could hear the obvious disappointment in her voice. The wide eyed girl always wanted Ochaco to feel safe when confiding in her, and just wanted Ochaco to be able to confide in her in general.
Ochaco quietly let out a breath she had been holding, "yeah it's Izuku..," Tsuyu made a small noise--which reminded Ochaco of a croak--that sounded like a sigh.
"Tell him.," she said flatly. Tsu was blunt and unforgiving when it came to opinions, "or don't, but when he gets a girlfriend," she paused for dramatic effect, "don't feel sorry for yourself."
Ochaco nodded, but soon realized Tsu couldn't see her, "yeah I guess you're right," she said softly. Although she couldn't see her, Ochaco could feel the older girl smiling.
"Okay, goodnight Ochaco," the smile was even more evident in her voice.
