Bruce & Diana:The mission

Part I: The Urgent Call

Bruce's POV:

I was at the batcave working on a case regarding of the jokers escape from the arkham asylun the previous night. While working on the case I enjoyed sipping some coffee that my loyal butler alfred prepared for me in time I needed one. I got busy working on the case for a while and focused all of my attention to the computer not giving any attention to my surroundings, then all of a sudden a familiar female voice echoed in the cave.

"Busy huh?" She spoke.

After the words left her mouth I quickly identified the voice and the tone, it was the amazonian princess's voice, Diana.

"As usual, im always busy princess." I replied to her teasing question and turned to face her.

Once I faced her, our eyes locked in an instant. Her eyes always reminds me of the blue ocean waters on earth.

"Of course, the Batman is always busy protecting his city from the cruel villains lurking in the dark corners of Gotham." She spoke with a kind voice still locking our eyes at the same time.

"Your absolutely right princess. May I ask out of curiousity, what brings your unexpected visit in the cave?" I asked with a slight smirk placed on my face.

She smiled and looked away breaking our locking eyes that easily.

"Nothing at all, I just decided to stop by to keep myself occupied for the upcoming hours and also wondering if you needed any help or concern on your work." She replied.

"Thank you for your kind offer princess but I can manage. Besides, helping me can be time consuming." I replied to her with a reluctant voice.

"I dont bother, also I dont have any plans for today anyways." She said.

"If you say so princess." I replied to her convincing explanation.

After 30 minutes or so I received an unexpected call from Clark on my commlink.

"Superman to Batman."

"Batman here, and so does Wonder Woman."

"I need you in the watchtower asap and bring Diana along with you."

"What could be so important that I will leave my work here in Gotham?" I asked with an annoyed tone.

"You will find out once both of you are here. Meet me in the monitor room once the two of you arrived."

"Acknowledged. We are on our way."

"Good." Then Clark hung up.

I told Diana that we are needed in the watchtower immediately and without hesitation she agreed. I then quickly changed to my batsuit and hopped on the jet with Diana along sitting beside me.

Diana's POV:

I was inside my watchtower quarters laying in my bed thinking of something to occupy my time with. After minutes of thinking  a sudden question popped inside my head.

"I wonder what Bruce is up to..." I murmured under my breath.

Without any hesitation I got up and changed to my uniform instead of wearing normal clothing. I find it way more comfortable to wear whenever meeting him. I left the watchtower and arrived at the manor quickly than I have expected, I reached his front door and attempted to rang the doorbell but an idea got in my head so I decided to step back and flew out of the front door towards the secret opening on the cave that I used as an entrance.

"I might surprise him with my unexpected entry." I whispered to myself.

Once I got myself in, I quickly noticed him standing in front of his computer working on something and not giving unecessary attention to his surroundings. He was very silent and was so focused on his own bussiness. I stared at him for about 3 minutes and then decided to break the silence by asking him a teasing question that was currently available in my head.

"Busy huh?" I asked hiding my slight smile.

Once he heared my voice he nod his head and replied to me with a small sentence that I cannot recall. We had a small conversation and I remember that I was convincing him to let me help him about a case he was handling. He reluctantly accepted my offer at first but I manage to convince him anyways then I proceeded helping him after it.

A couple minutes have passed by when Bruce received an unexpected call from Clark. After their conversation Bruce told me that we were needed in the watchtower immediately, I did not hesitate to come along with him afterall because we are partners in bussiness and besides the two of us were needed.
