HEARTHS POV
—————
See anything you like?, Blitzen signed.
Not really, I signed back, looking around the brightly lit store in disgust.
Blitz had insisted on taking me clothes shopping while we were still in Midgard. "All you wear is black! You need more variety; a splash of color," he had said, gripping my shoulders and staring at me with those dark mocha eyes I'd grown to love.
We looked extremely out of place. Blitz was wearing his sun protection gear, complete with gloves and his signature hat that kept most of the light out of his face. I wasn't wearing anything different, but seeing a six foot deaf guy with his black boyfriend probably wasn't a sight regular mortals saw every day.
Blitz waved his hand in front of my face to get my attention. Well, he tried to; he was too short. I laughed silently, as I always did when my boyfriend did something dumb.
"Here, try this," he said, blushing, holding a red and white striped scarf. I took it from his gloved hands and looped it around my neck.
It really wasn't anything special, but I liked it a lot. I drifted off to go find a mirror, Blitz close at my heels. Once I found one, I stared at myself and Blitz through the reflection.
"Do you like it?", I saw Blitz say through the mirror, clapping his hands. That's what I assumed he was doing; I couldn't hear anything. I nodded, looking down at him and smiling.
Yay!, he signed, hugging me for a second. Let's get it then. Do you want to look around some more?
I must've made a disapproving face, since he just laughed and kissed my cheek, standing on his tippy toes. That's okay. Took us long enough to find that stupid scarf anyway.
Blitz insisted on paying for it himself, which I  reluctantly obliged to. Where he got Midgardian money, I don't know; maybe he took some from Magnus, or pickpocketed someone's wallet.
Nonetheless, the scarf was bought. After looping it around my neck once more, Blitz and I exited the store, hand in hand, blushing crazily.
