In all afternoon, with Tod by her side, Lily had been helping her grandmother with all their farm chores and she was able to learn how to milk Abigail.

Afterward, outside of the barn, Lily was fixing her old bicycle that was starting to slow down during the whole winter.

Now with her bike fixed, she was getting ready for a first day.

As she was getting ready and about to asked Tod if he's ready, she saw that Tod staring at Copper's barrel before she went over to him and sat beside him.

As her bell rung softly, Tod's ears twitched but still staring at Copper's home.

Lily caressed Tod head as she said to him "Tod, I understand that you miss him, but he may not be the same Copper you used to know."

Tod looked up at her shocked by what she said.

"He might've changed through out the whole hunting trip since he started training, he's gonna come home with those animal furs with Amos and Chief as an trained adult hunting dog."

Tod frowned at her and looked back at Copper's home before Lily sighed and smiled softly.

"But who knows? I've been thinking that even though things have changed, you two would still be friends in a very different way like respect and acceptance. That's how life is."

Tod looked up at her with a and started to think about what she said to him.

Lily smiled as she started to have an idea to teach him more about what he needs to know.

She picked up Tod in her arms before he climbed onto her shoulders as she said to him, "Let's go for a ride. It sure is a beautiful day."

She went over to her fixed bike, placed Tod onto her handmade basked that was attached to the front and hopped on her bike.

"Are you ready for a ride, Tod?", she as him who nodded excitedly.

Lily started the biked and started to ride her way toward the road and left the farm

Widow Tweed looked out from her window and smiled as she saw her grandchild and Tod riding on her bike together.

The excited Tod looked back and saw that they're riding farther away from the farm and Copper's home before he looked at the distance, looked up and saw some birds flew above them.

Tod smiled at Lily enjoying the beautiful Spring ride.

Lily smiled warmly before she started to sing softly to Tod who started to hear her beautiful voice as a singing dove;

"Love is a song that never ends

Life may be swift and fleeting

Hope may die yet love's beautiful music

Comes each day like a dawn.

(Like a dawn)"

As they road along, Tod and Lily looked above at the sun that was shining above the Spring trees.

Hearing the beautiful voice, the birds, squirrels and chipmunks watched Lily and Tod riding along and started listening to the human girl's song.

Tod turned to Lily and smiled warmly as she continued her song;

"Love is a song that never ends

One simple theme repeating

(One simple theme repeating)"

Tod leaped onto Lily's shoulders and nuzzled lovingly against her fair face before she carefully caressed his cheek as she sang;

"Like the voice of the heavenly choir

Love's sweet music flows on."

Through out the whole morning, they've they've been in a woods beside the road.

Lily, who learned how to climb, was picking some spring flower branches as Tod was helping her by climbing on her shoulder and picked the highest branch with his mouth to bring home put the in their vases, playing with other by hide and seek, chasing each other around a woods before Tod jumped onto her which made her fell on a ground and laughed as he licked and nuzzled her face at the same time.
She got back on her feet and hugged Tod close as she continues her song;

" Love is a song that never ends

One simple theme repeating

(One simple theme repeating)"

She swirled around gracefully as Tod climbed onto her shoulders before she and Tod looked up where the sun shines through the leafs.

"Like the voice of the heavenly choir

Love's sweet music flows

Flows on!"

Then she turned to Tod who climbed into her arms before she gracefully kneeled onto a grass and the fox and the girl looked at each with love.

"Love's sweet music flows on"

Lily and Tod gently rested their foreheads to each other as she ended her song;

"Flows on..."

Lily hugged her beloved Tod as he nuzzled her shoulder.

"Come on, Tod", she said to him. "Let's go home".

With Tod in her arms, Lily picked up the flower branches that they've collected and headed toward her bike to ride back home.

Hi guys!

"Love is a Song" is from Disney's Bambi and I know it has nothing to do with the story but I though it was a right song that suits Lily's character.
