Hmmm being in another body feels very strange. After being with Rachel for so long it feels very foreign to me. Oh I didn't notice you guys there hello. Yes I do know this is a book and that I'm braking the wall again but don't worry I'll fix it after I'm done
" Rachel I'm boreddddd, let's go kill something"
"No"
"Your no fun"
"Well maybe because I'm trying to sleep"
"But sleep's no fun. I'm gonna go see what your crew is up to since your no fun"
I walk towards the deck when I hear Rachel scream wait, but it's already to late. Suddenly I'm strung upside down wrapped in rope
"What the hell?!"
"Finally we caught ya you monster"
I look at Rachel as she looks at me laughing
"What? You think this is funny?"
"It is pretty much"
I give her an annoyed look as the men cheer and crowd around me.
"Alright guys let her down"
"But why? This is the monster that caused you so much pain"
"Yea but I kinda like having power plus I don't think we wanna piss her off"
Well she got one thing right.
"Uh hello yellowed eye demon swinging around here"
The men finally come over and cut me down to much disagreement. Thank hades I chose Rachel, oh your all wondering what I mean by chose her? We'll get there at some point in the story.
"There you go, you happy now Uhh-
"Alex"
"Alex, wow I expected you to have a more I don't know, weird name"
"Well my actual name is ꀤꍟꍟꀎꁅꀸ but I figured Alex would be better for you to understand"
"Yea I think your right about that now, where's max?"

What the hell am I gonna do about those two? They are patently the most dangerous things in the world and one of them is in love with me. I pace around the room thinking about what I could do in this situation.
Knock knock
"Come in"
Rachel walks in and locks the door
"You ok? I know it's a lot to take in. I just wanna make sure your ok"
"Yea I'm fine. Just a lot to process I guess."
She walks over towards me and hesitated before hugging me. I shook my head to say it was ok and I was engulfed in a warm hug.
"This is actually nice"
"If you need anyone to talk to, you can talk to me ok max? I'm not gonna let what happened with me and Alex come between us"
"Alex?"
"Oh yea that's it's name, Alex. Well it's something else but it's pretty much unpronounceable"
"Oh ok"
"Hey what's wrong? You seem really out of it"
"It's nothing, I'm just tired from yesterday."
She eyes me suspiciously but eventually she gives up on the topic.
"So what do you want to do? We pretty much have the freedom to do what we want now that I'm captain and all"
"Hmm well are there any adventures we could go on? Now that we have a crew and a.... prehistoric demon creature"
"I heard that!!"
Alex yells from outside the room
"I forgot she can also hear relatively well"
"Well that's one thing I'll try not to forget so I can annoy her"
Rachel gives me a smirk while laughing a bit
Alex walks in through the door with an idea on her mind
"Ok so I was thinkn how about we go spirit huntn?
" spirit hunting really?"
"Yea it'll be fun, we can have something to do while also killing stuff plus don't we have to keep our combat skills up?"
Thinking of what Alex said, she is right. We haven't done anything ever since me and Rachel left captain douche. Getting out and doing something would be good for us.
"Alright I'm down, what about you rach?
"Yea I'm down too"
"Good, we'll set sail tomorrow"
Alex disappears out of the room in a hurry out of joy and excitement.
"Why do I feel like this was a bad idea?
"I do to, and I'm the one who had a demon in their head for most of their life"

After Alex got her own body, I've been wondering if we still had a mental connection somehow.
Hey um Alex are you there?
Yes I'm here, we still have a mental connection, you can't get rid of me that easily
Oh
What's on your mind love?
Nothing I'm just thinking about how different my life would have been without you
Well for one I'm pretty sure you would have died a lot sooner, but I wonder that same question to myself sometimes
Well I'm glad I have you, not only to keep me from dying but being their as a friend, even if it involved you killing people
I'm glad to have you as a friend too, now get some rest we have a long trip ahead of us tomorrow

I end my mental connection with Alex and stare at max sleeping in my- well our bed.
"Your so adorable" I whispered to myself hoping she didn't hear
I climb in behind her and wrap my arms around her, pulling her closer. She relaxes into me getting as close as she can
