Hermione found herself sitting outside in the courtyard reading a book that she just got from the library. It was too nice of a day to sit inside. She slowly flipped through the pages while she soaked up the sun's rays.

...

Pansy tapped his shoulder. "Draco, look, she's all alone." Draco looked to where Pansy pointed. Sitting against a tree reading a book was Granger. "Even those Gryffindor gits want nothing to do with her." Blaise, Crabbe, and Goyle snickered along with her.

Draco let a smirk slide onto his face. "Watch this."

He quietly crept up behind her. Using his wand, he tapped her on the shoulder. As she was turning to see who it was, he twirled around her other side until he came to a stop in front of her. He grabbed her book and started making a dash for it. "Malfoy!" She jumped up and reached for her book. At her shout, he turned around to gloat or maybe even give her a rude comment. Whatever words he was going to say died in his throat. Her face was so close to his, only separated by a few inches. He felt his eyes being drawn to her lips. Her lips, which surprisingly looked plush, were parted open. He felt heat rise to his face at their closeness.

"Draco!" Pansy ran over to them and dragged Draco behind her. The other three were quick to follow and stood in front of Draco as if to protect him from Granger. "Keep your filthy mudblood hands off of him!" Anger dripped heavily on her voice.

Granger huffed and rolled her eyes. "As if I want to touch him. I'd rather take my chances with the basilisk than with Malfoy." For some reason her words hurt his pride. He was much better to be around than a basilisk.

Pansy huffed but before she could say anything else, Granger stormed off. "Crikey, she sure can be scary." Goyle visibly gulped. Pansy turned a hard glare onto him.

Before they could start a fight, Draco parted ways. Once he was sure no-one was around, he placed a hand over his chest in the hope of slowing down his rapidly beating heart. Why did he feel like this? Shaking his head, he marched back to the Slytherin common room. He needed a nap, that was all.

After making it back to the Slytherin common room, he realized that he still had Granger's book. He climbed the steps to his room then threw himself onto his bed. He lifted the book up and decided to open it. Why was Granger reading something so advanced?

His eyes began to feel heavy. The book slid out of his hands and thumped loudly onto the floor.

His lips met plush lips. They felt ruff in some places as if the owner constantly bit them. He moved his lips, thrilled that the owner of the lips kissed him back. He kissed back hungrily, loving the combination of speariment and strawberry that he tasted on them.

The owner of those lips ran their tongue over his bottom lip before biting it. "...Granger..." The moan escaped out of him.

Draco bolted upright. He found himself ontop of his bed. No-one else was in the room. "Oh, bloody hell, Draco. What are you doing dreaming about kissing Granger?" An image of Granger's parted lips popped into his mind.

He groaned as he fell back. He covered his face with his hands but the image wouldn't leave. With a growl, he climbed out of bed.

He sulked around the empty hallways with his hands in his pants pockets. Where the bloody hell was everyone!

The click-clacking of shoes rounded the corner. Draco looked up only to suppress a groan. Of course, it was just his luck to run into Granger.

He turned to flee but she had already seen him. "Malfoy!" She started running to him, her messy brown curls flying out behind her. He stood there and waited for her. He wanted to flee but found his feet planted to the ground. "I finally found you!" She was looking for him?

She reached him, slightly out of breath. "You have my book, Malfoy, and I want it back!"

"You're looking for me for a bloody book!" Anger boiled inside of him. Why was she so unaffected? Here he was dreaming about kissing her and all she wanted was her bloody book!

Her brown eyes widened in anger. "The book that you stole from me!" She put her hands on her hips and glared at him.

"Fine," He sighed in defeat. "It's back in my room." She raised an eyebrow. "What?"

She threw her hands up in exasperation. "Well, what are you waiting for? Lead the way!"

In that instance, he felt like strangling her. The woman was so bloody bossy. Instead, he quietly lead the way to the Slytherin common room.

"What?" She asked when he just stood there and stared at her.

"I can't have a Gryffindor knowing the Slytherin password." Granger rolled her eyes but covered her ears to satisfy him. He quietly told the painting the password then entered once the picture swung open.

"Why is it so dark in here?"

Draco whirled around to face the annoying Gryffindor. "Get out!" His anger boiled with having a none Slytherin in their common room. He was bloody lucky that no-one else was there.

"How can I trust you to give me the right book back." She stated in that annoying way of hers.

"Fine." Draco growled his displeasure. He led the way to his room, before he could tell the annoying Gryffindor to stay put, she barged in. He marched past her and grabbed the bloody book off of his bed. "Here." He turned around and collided into Granger. Not again!

He started to pull away until he noticed that Granger was staring at him, or more precisely, his lips. There was enough light in the room to see the light blush spreading across Granger's cheeks. She visibly gulped as she stared at his lips. So, he wasn't the only one affected by his little stunt earlier.

He looked up into her eyes, their light brown turning dark. He smirked. "What are you staring at, Granger?" He tried to make his voice sound mean and sarcastic but failed.

Granger's eyes widened and she took a step back. "No...nothing!" Her shrill voice gave her away.

He smirked once again then stepped closer. She brought her hands up as if to push him away. He grabbed her wrist and gently wrapped his fingers around it, keeping her in place. "Well, I think you were staring at something." He leaned a little bit closer, watching as her blush deepened. "Granger, today's your lucky day. I'm gonna grant your wish." Before she could formulate a verbal question as to what her wish might be, Draco closed the distance between them. Hesitating just above her lips, he slowly captured them. Granger's lips parted in shock. Draco, ever the gentleman that he was not, took advantage of her shock.
